After the exams ended, the teachers began grading the papers overnight.
Since it was a mock test, the grading process basically mimicked the college entrance exam. Students' names were sealed during grading, and teachers didn't grade their own class's papers. Only after grading was complete and scores and rankings were tallied would the seals be opened.
Tonight was destined to be a sleepless one, with everyone nervously checking answers and estimating scores.
As for Ye Wanwan, the moment she turned in her paper, she wandered back to the dorm to catch up on sleep.
The next morning.
Liang Lihua walked into the classroom beaming with joy.
That morning, before she even had a chance to look at the students' scores, she first went to the dean of students' office. Ye Wanwan's expulsion notice had finally come through.
"Everyone, quiet down! The exam scores and rankings are all out now! But before announcing the results, I need to handle one matter first!"
Hearing this, everyone immediately turned their excited gazes toward the back row.
Sure enough, Liang Lihua pulled out a notice and slapped it on the podium. "I'm sure many of you already know about this. Our class's Ye Wanwan, due to repeated violations of school rules and regulations, deplorable conduct, refusal to change despite repeated warnings, and severely damaging the image of Qinghe High School, has been expelled after a school decision!"
The classroom erupted in cheers, especially from the girls.
"Hahaha, I knew it! That ugly freak would get kicked out before the scores even came out!"
"Finally, we won't have to see that horrifying face anymore!"
Liang Lihua shot an impatient glance at Ye Wanwan. "It takes effect today. Pack up your things and leave now!"
Under everyone's gloating stares, Ye Wanwan remained unmoved, showing no intention of leaving. She just lightly curved her lips, casting a lazy glance at the person on the podium.
That mocking gaze and calm demeanor bordering on provocation immediately infuriated Liang Lihua. "Ye Wanwan! Do you have any issues now? Didn't you want a stamped written notice from the school? Here it is! Everything was done by the book! So you can't say the school is my personal dictatorship!"
Ye Wanwan's cool eyes slightly lifted as she slowly stood up and spoke. "Fine, since Teacher is talking school rules with me, I'll talk school rules with Teacher. I seem to recall there's a clause in the rules: if there is significant remorseful behavior, punishment can be appropriately waived, giving the student a chance to reform."
Liang Lihua sneered. "There is such a clause—so what? What does it have to do with you? Look at you—not quite human, not quite ghost. Do you look like you've shown even half a bit of remorse?"
Ye Wanwan raised an eyebrow, her tone righteous and unyielding. "Yes, I'm ugly—so what? Is being ugly my fault? Judging people by appearance—is that what a people's teacher should do? So, I think Teacher should take a look at my scores first. What if I scored first in the class this time?"
Liang Lihua was stunned at first, then burst out laughing in anger. The other students also erupted in uproarious laughter.
"Hahahahaha, what the hell! What did that ugly freak Ye Wanwan just say? She scored first in the class? Who gave her the courage to say something like that!"
"She must be an idiot! If she can score first in the class, I'll go eat shit!"
"Haha, then you might have to eat shit, because last place is also a kind of first!"
