Chapter 6 - Noah Grey

Noah let out a sigh as water ran down his head and to his naked body.

He had ended up taking a shower after the white haired girl because he couldn't trust his control any longer.

Although the girl was willingly and genuinely inviting him, he had no intention of touching her.... Not until he completely understood what was going on.

He let out another sigh and he placed both hands on the wall, watching as the water flowed from his black hair to the floor.

As am eighteen years old final year high school student, Noah's life was completely ordinary.

He grew up in a loving and wealthy family, with the only downside being the fact that they were always busy.

But his mom and dad never missed any of his important days, whether that be parent-teacher meetings, graduations, career days or even during plays he was part of, even if it was a minor role.

They were always there for him regardless of how busy they were.

And even though they were wealthy, the family of three lived a simple life....well, as simple as owning a million dollars modern home could get.

His life was ordinary, but happy.

Until it was suddenly disrupted by a single bad mistake.

If he had stayed home, like his parents expected him to, maybe he wouldn't have woken up the next day as a vampire.

Noah had fully accepted the fact that he was now a vampire with no idea of how he became one.

But since there was another currently in the house, maybe she'd have the answers he needed.

He stepped out of the shower, and noticed the girl comfortably sat on his bed wearing white clothes and shorts that seemed a bit too big...which they were, after all, the clothes belonged to him.

"Do you mind stepping out while I get dressed?" Noah asked, but he already knew the answer to that.

"I've basically seen all of you last night," She answered with a grin, "do you have nothing to be ashamed of."

Noah looked at her for a while before sighing and entering into his walk-in closet, where he at least had a bit of privacy.

While putting on some clothes, he suddenly paused and spoke up, "I hadn't asked yet, but what's your name?"

"Don't you think it's a bit too late to be asking that now?" Her voice came from the bedroom and the playfulness in it could be clearly heard.

He went quiet and looked at his reflection in the mirror. Guess the fact that vampires don't see their reflections was a myth, after all, that was him in the mirror.

Noah had a head full of messy black hair, and a pair of bright grey eyes, as usual.

The only change was that his skin was a bit paler than before, but not so much that he'd stand out.

There was also the fact that his previous five foot, eight height that he always rounded up to six feet was now actually six feet.

His observation of himself was interrupted when the girl spoke up, "I'm Antoinette Von Dracule."

Her name definitely sounded foreign and aristocratic, but that wasn't really what pulled his attention, rather, it was due to how familiar the name sounded.

"Antoinette?" Noah repeated slowly and that's when it suddenly clicked, "you're the girl from before."

And by girl from before, he meant the one he had seen at his school's hallway just the previous day.

The one with the paper cut and smirk.

He finally realized why she had seemed so familiar.

"Ding, ding, ding," Antoinette's voice suddenly sounded behind him, "but you can call me Ette."

He hadn't heard her approaching but she had no intention of harming him, so he didn't dwell on it.

Besides, he was now fully clothed.

He had on a white T-shirt similar to the one the girl had on, since that was the most comfortable he could find, and loose black jogging pants.

Today was also a school day, but he had no intention of going, not with so many questions in his head.

Noah slowly turned towards Antoinette who was leaning on the door frame before he said, "let's talk downstairs."

With a nod, they walked out his room and into the living room, where he felt a lot safer.

The house was empty, save for the two of them, because Noah's parents hadn't come back from work yet.

Maybe they would, during the weekend, but he was glad they weren't around to witness this mess.

He wasn't sure if being a vampire would make him look at them as nothing but blood bags, but he'd stay far from them than find out.

The modern home was relatively large and no doubt, very expensive, but that didn't make it feel any less homey.

There were obvious touches added by his mother that made the place a little less intimidating for anyone visiting.

Well, it wasn't like anyone visited them anyway, at least Noah hadn't seen any of his parent's friends or relatives set foot in this house.

He knew his grandparents were alive and well, but the Grey family was so estranged that he couldn't remember the last time he spoke to any of them.

Noah digressed, shaking those thoughts out of his head as he looked at Antoinette who was sitting awfully close to him.

He didn't know how, but he could tell that she was unsatisfied with the way they currently sat.

If she was allowed to, she would've sat on his lap, ensuring as little space between them as possible.

But for now, she had to be satisfied with this much.

"Now then," Antoinette clapped both her hands together before asking, "where should we start?"

"From the beginning," Noah said as he looked into her red eyes, "I want to know, why, how and when I became a vampire."

"I see," Antoinette nodded, "alright then, let's begin."
