When Aurore saw Hawking and the two others, the expression on her face immediately softened, and she smiled as she raised her hand to greet them.
"Welcome to the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. I believe you will all grow to love it here."
After greeting them, she followed Professor X's instructions to gather with the other teachers.
Hawking also confirmed the identity of this female teacher through her name and features.
"Storm, a top-tier Level Three Mutant who can control weather in a small area, summoning lightning, Storms, and ice and snow attacks."
There are five levels of Mutants in total, with Level One being the lowest and Level Five the highest.
Normally, a Mutant's level is determined at birth, but most cannot fully control their abilities at first, displaying power less than their actual level, and need to gradually develop it.
For example, a Level Two Mutant's peak is Level Two, and a Level Three Mutant might only display Level Two power, but after training and development, can eventually grow to Level Three.
However, a lower-level Mutant does not necessarily lose to a higher-level Mutant.
This requires considering many factors, such as the Mutant's ability direction, mindset, and personal combat experience.
Just like a support-type Level Three Mutant might not beat an attack-type Level Two Mutant, or a Level Three ordinary office worker with similar abilities might not beat a Level Two battlefield veteran.
"Piotr, please take these three little ones to find rooms and settle down, then show them around the school."
Seeing Aurore leave, Professor X called over a seventeen or eighteen-year-old youth and entrusted Hawking and the two others to him.
The school building has seven floors. Besides some rooms converted into classrooms and special uses, the other rooms can be used for living.
Because it is a Mutant School, it only enrolls young Mutants, so there are not many students in the entire school. Including all the Professors, there are only thirty-four people.
Even with the luxury of one room per person, there are still many empty rooms.
Normally, Mutants who graduate from the school can freely choose to enter society, stay at the school as teachers, or join the X-Men.
Professor X had told them all of this on the way.
"Piotr, what is your ability?"
While the seemingly good-tempered Piotr was showing them around and helping them choose rooms, Hawking took the opportunity to chat, wanting to learn more details about the Mutant School.
He had seen the X-Men movie series, but that was a long time ago. He still remembered the general plot, character traits, and nicknames, but many detailed things had long been forgotten.
For example, he knew the female teacher just now was Storm, but he didn't really remember the name Aurore.
Of course, he definitely knew famous ones like Magneto, Professor X, Wolverine, and Phoenix.
"Me? I can transform my body into a steel-like physique, possessing stronger physique, strength, and defensive capabilities."
Piotr smiled and activated his ability. His entire body immediately turned a steel-like color.
"Oh, that's so cool!"
Little Pietro's eyes lit up, and he couldn't help but reach out to touch him. Little Wanda, who was holding one of Hawking's arms nearby, also peered out with a curious expression.
"Actually, my dream is to become an artist like Picasso. If you have time, I can draw you a portrait."
Piotr didn't mind little Pietro touching him and said with a chuckle.
"So it's Colossus."
Hawking looked Piotr up and down, his gaze lingering on his midsection for two seconds.
The hardest man among Mutants!
"Let's choose these three rooms, they're conveniently connected!"
After confirming the rooms and roughly unpacking their luggage, the three then toured the school under Colossus's guidance.
Classrooms, laboratories, cafeteria, garden, swimming pool, basketball court, soccer field, and even horses and a stable, making Hawking constantly exclaim that the school was truly wealthy.
And while Colossus was showing Hawking and the three new students around the school, an emergency meeting was being held in the Principal's office.
"Regarding this Mutant attack on the President, my thought is that Magneto must have orchestrated it!"
Cyclops Scott stated with certainty.
Beside him, Jean, with her red hair, shook her head:
"Scott, I don't think so."
"Although Eric has the ability to control all of this from prison, it doesn't make sense.
Because this would only harm his Mutant prosperity plan!"
Professor X clearly shared Jean's view.
Storm over there raised her hand:
"Well, now those guys in the government are going to bring out that Mutant Registration Act again."
"To find out what's really going on, we still need to find the Mutant who attacked the President.
Jean and Aurore, you two go bring him back.
Scott and I will go to the prison to talk to Eric."
After some discussion, Professor X made a decision.
Evening, school cafeteria.
"Can we eat whatever we want here?"
Hawking's eyes lit up as he watched the students lining up to get food.
Colossus smiled and nodded:
"Of course, all the food, drinks, and daily necessities at the school are free. You can eat as much as you want."
At this moment, he had not yet realized the seriousness of the situation.
"Let's go, let's get in line."
"No rush, you take Pietro and Wanda to get food first. I'll eat after everyone else has finished."
Hawking waved his hand.
"You don't have to do that. There's plenty of food in the cafeteria, and our chef, Mr. Yog, has the ability to quickly process all ingredients into food.
And he always buys enough ingredients for the entire school to eat for three days, so there will never be a shortage of food."
Colossus knew that Hawking and the two others came from war-torn Sokovia and assumed this was why he was acting this way, due to food shortages there.
The entire Mutant School, besides Professors and students, also has many staff members.
These staff members are all Mutants, and also former students who graduated from the school.
Because their abilities are mostly auxiliary types, and their upper limit is around Level One or Two, they basically have no combat power. After graduating, they couldn't integrate well with ordinary people in society, so they chose to stay and work at the school.
The chefs who cook, the gardeners who trim flowers and plants, the aunts who clean and tidy rooms, the maintenance workers for various equipment, and so on.
Anyway, Professor X is not short on money, and the benefits are all very good.
"You don't know, Hawking is a particularly big eater, a big bad wolf! He can eat so, so much in one meal!"
At this, little Wanda gestured with her hands.
Seeing this, Hawking began to tickle her little belly:
"Dare to call me a big bad wolf, then you're Little Red Riding Hood. Be careful, the big bad wolf might eat Little Red Riding Hood in one bite."
Little Wanda immediately giggled.
Little Pietro next to her also strongly agreed with his sister's point of view, explaining to Colossus with a serious little face:
"I'm telling you, Hawking has a Universe in his stomach. I've never seen him full. Maybe that's his Mutant ability."
"That's truly pitiful. Come on, it's okay, feel free to eat your fill."
The naturally kind Colossus, hearing that Hawking had never eaten his fill, felt sympathy again and immediately pulled the three of them to join the line.
