Chapter 1 - Episode 1:New beginning

CHAPTER 1 – Rebirth in Chaos

(First Person — Jack Kline POV)

I woke up choking.

Not metaphorically.

Actually choking.

My muscles twitched as if something foreign was trying to carve itself into my nervous system. My fingers clawed at the sheets I didn't recognize. My back arched violently—

Then—

Silence.

I blinked up at a ceiling I definitely hadn't seen before.

"…So I died."

No hospital lights. No sterile smell. Just a quiet bedroom in a small two-story house in Mystic Falls.

Well… cliché.

I exhaled slowly. Since I transmigrated, next step where was I transmigrated and what is my golden finger is; as a traveller, surely there would be one.

And then righ on time—

A voice echoed inside my head.

Mechanical. Cold. Precise.

▌Initializing Chaos System…

▌Host confirmed.

▌Congratulations on rebirth.

I blinked again.

"…System."

▌System initialisation complete.

▌Species Assigned: Dormant Nogitsune (Void Kitsune).

▌Primary Directive: Consume chaos. Evolve towards Void Sovereign.

Memories flooded in.

Orphan. Seventeen. Recently transferred to Mystic Falls High. Parents dead. No relatives. House inherited.

Clean slate. Then another wave hit.

Mystic Falls.

Vampires.

Werewolves.

Hybrids.

Doppelgängers.

All the lore from that old TV show.

I actually started laughing.

"You're kidding me." First a nogitsune, one of the best villains of Teen Wolf, now reborn here in a vampire show and this is not the best and then I realized…

My name in this life was Jack Kline.

Yeah.

That's Jack Kline — the one from Supernatural.

Funny joke, universe.

Very funny.

But fate didn't stop there.

I was a Nogitsune.

A Void Kitsune.

A chaos entity.

Basically a walking emotional earthquake with foxtails waiting to grow. Perfect.

▌CHAOS SYSTEM v1.0

Host: Jack Kline

Species: Dormant Nogitsune (Void Kitsune)

Chaos Points (CP): 0

Void Affinity: 3%

Attributes Explained

Strength (4): Physical power; still human-level.

Agility (6): Reflexes & movement above average.

Endurance (5): Resistance to fatigue & pain.

Spirit (7): Capacity for handling magical or supernatural forces.

Mind (8): Intelligence, awareness, deductive reasoning.

Charm (6): Social influence & likability; critical for subtle manipulation.

Chaos Affinity (5): How well my system absorbs chaos safely.

Higher affinity means you can store and use chaos without destabilising.

🍂 Humans average around 5 in most traits.

Vampires? Much higher.

This explained why I still felt… human. So basically my system is pretty simple; attributes have been digitised. Even though my species is dormant, I can still show characteristics of a fox, exactly like a transitioning vampire who grows fangs. Right now I can make fox ears made of void, and my eyes turn into slits. My teeth and tail are missing; too bad, it would be really cool.

Void affinity is my connection with the void; the higher it is, the more void power I can use. as for chaos affinity, it's like how a newborn cannot eat too much or might burst. My feeding on chaos, fear and other negative emotions will be impacted in the beginning, making it possible for me to lose control. Well, hopefully I can get it up in level quickly.

I continue looking downwards.

Passive Trait

Chaos Feeder (Lv.1):

→ Absorbs emotional entropy within 15m.

→ Gains more CP during supernatural or highly emotional events.

There was a shop too — for skills, artefacts, and attribute upgrades — but it was locked. Only some skills and attributes purchases are avaliable.

▌Notice: Void Affinity must improve before shop access unlocks further.

That meant I had to increase safe chaos absorption first — not just brainlessly hoard chaos and explode or lose control. Good.

Then:

▌The dormant state persists until void affinity reaches 10%.

▌Upon surpassing 10%, the host awakens with directional evolution options.

So my first goal was clear:

Get to 10% affinity. As for directional evolution, it is basically unlocking skills in the direction I want.

I leaned against the pillow.

"I transfer tomorrow? The same day that Stefan Salvatore returns."

Fate wasn't just a casual observer.

It was trolling me. Mystic Falls was not going to be calm, but this is also an opportunity since Stefan is such a ripper, plus his interest towards Elena ... oh man, just a little nudje and he would be a walking chaos generator, plus his brother who also will create so much chaos but it definitely isn't enough. It seems my first task is coming soon. Not only that, Klaus would come. Silas would come. Travellers. Hybrids and more.

And the humans in between — especially Elena — were emotional chaos factories walking on two legs.

Elena's compassion was exactly the kind of unpredictable emotional multiplier that creates conflict.

She wasn't useless, at least to me currently—far from it—she was a catalyst.

Good.

This town wasn't a waiting room.

It was a storm.

And I had the best seat in the house.

I smiled.

THE NEXT DAY

Morning light sliced through the curtains.

I checked myself in the mirror.

Blonde hair.

Blue eyes.

Calm smile.

Charming enough. Six pack perfect proportions ,it seems my fox genes are in the work ,but that's normal who hasn't heard of the nine-tailed fox charm.

Not intimidating.

Exactly my approach: Smile first. Manipulate second.

I walked onto campus.

Almost immediately—

▌Chaos detected. +0.01 CP

▌Chaos detected. +0.01 CP

▌Chaos detected. +0.01 CP

Tiny ripples.

Teenage insecurity. Hormonal tension. Jealousy. Fear of grades.

Delicious background noise.

Then…

Magic.

Sharp.

Electric.

Three girls stood near the front steps.

Elena.

Caroline.

Bonnie.

Elena's aura was soft, warm, compassionate. Pretty soft eyes, just looking at her invoked the need to protect her, pretty much what I expected from the heroine ,a beauty as well.

My feeleing toward her were not overwhelming — just deeply empathetic. After all from today this girl life is about to be turned 180 degrees.

She looked like someone who would bleed for others even when it hurt.

Which in Mystic Falls translated to:

Chaos catalyst.

Caroline sparkled with insecurity hidden behind bravado. Pretty blonde who is also about to be trown into the supernatural world, but I can see why Klaus fell for her. Useful for emotional noise, no other feeling currently.

But Bonnie —

Her presence made the air tighten just a little.

Not threatening.

Harmonic.

Like a pulse rather than a wave.

When my void brushed against her aura—

▌Magic Signature Detected

▌Harmony Potential Detected

▌Projected Synergy: Temporary mutual amplification at higher affinity

The system explained it clearly:

When Kanji (void energy) and Magic resonate in sync, both users can stabilize overflow and briefly enhance expression of power.

In simpler terms:

We could boost each other, but most importantly she could stabilise me if I absorb too much Chaos, this was definitely nice and promising.

My breath slowed.

Very interesting.

She was beautiful as well.

I walked up with a casual smile.

"Hey. Sorry for interrupting."

Caroline answered first.

"Hi! You're new, right?"

"Jack Kline," I said smoothly.

"Elena."

"Caroline."

Then Bonnie.

Our eyes met.

For a second the world sharpened.

Her aura didn't resist.

It blended.

Not violent.

Not defensive.

It was balancing.

I liked that.

"You feel… different," she said quietly.

"Different in a good way, I hope," I replied lightly.

Elena tilted her head. "We don't see many new students."

I smiled politely.

Behind us —

A presence entered suddenly.

Older.

Colder.

Controlled.

Stefan Salvatore.

The system pulsed.

▌High Chaos Entity Detected

▌+14.5 CP

Not loud.

Not messy.

Dense.

Painful.

That explained it.

Chaos wasn't just emotional.

It was compressed.

I didn't look over.

Instead, I kept my calm smile trained on Bonnie.

With my interruption, the scene with Stefan in the office and bathroom didn't happen. This proved one of my concerns: the plot can be changed, though this was currently based on small changes, but for bigger changes I am sure it is different.

HISTORY CLASS

I deliberately chose the seat beside Bonnie.

Conversation started naturally.

"So why Mystic Falls?" she asked.

"Parents passed away. The house was left in my name here. Small town life," I said casually.

A flicker of softness crossed her face.

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine," I shrugged.

Elena, ahead of us, turned slightly at my tone.

Parents.

Grief.

Emotional resonance.

Not useless after all.

Then I dropped my first quiet suggestion.

Lowering my voice just enough:

"Rumor is, these animal attacks look a lot like vampires—all the blood gone, nothing left behind, but apparently it is not reported..."

I watched their eyes shift.

Bonnie frowned. "Missing blood?"

"Yeah," I said.

Elena blinked. "That's… weird."

"Definitely, so be careful when alone in the town; it might not be just animal attacks, but some psychopath," I reminded.

"That's concerning; where did you hear that?" asked Bonnie

"Well, it has happened before. My parents told me before they passed away that's why we moved away." I replied smoothly, It's not like they can ask them anyway.

"Oh my god, that's terrible," Elena chimed in, a little shaken. I wonder if she will still go to the cemetery, but probably not.

▌Emotional Disturbance Created

▌Chaos Points: +11 CP

Across the room, Stefan's gaze sharpened.

Good.

I was in play now.
