Chapter 1: Uchiha Tenmei
Year 3 of Konoha.
The playground of the Konoha Village Ninja Academy.
"Where the leaves dance, fire will also burn incessantly. The fire's light will continue to illuminate the Villageand allow new leaves to sprout..."
At the freshman entrance ceremony, the Third HokageHiruzen Sarutobi delivered a grand speech about the Will of Fire to the gathered new students.
Listening to the Hokage's words, the freshmen were all incredibly excited, imagining themselves becoming powerful Ninja in the future, or even becoming the Hokage.
As a member of the freshman class, Uchiha Tenmei was equally excited. However, Uchiha Tenmei's excitement wasn't because of Hiruzen Sarutobi's words, but because of a dream he had last night.
The name Uchiha signified that Uchiha Tenmei was a member of the Uchiha Clan, the number one Ninja Clanin Konoha Village.
Six-year-old Uchiha Tenmei was an orphan. His father had died on a mission while his mother was pregnant. His grieving mother managed to give birth to him with great difficulty, but she passed away not long after due to excessive sorrow.
Without parents, Uchiha Tenmei was eventually adopted by his father's close friend, Uchiha Tetsu.
In the blink of an eye, Uchiha Tenmei turned six, reaching the age to attend the Ninja Academy.
In reality, for a Ninja Clan, members didn't necessarily need to go to the Ninja Academy to learn. The Ninja Clan itself could teach Ninja knowledge, though more often it was parents passing it down to their children.
The Sarutobi Clan, which had grown rapidly by relying on its connection to the Hokage, had already become the most populous Ninja Clan in Konoha Village. Yet, only one or two Sarutobi Clan members entered the Ninja Academy each year.
Usually, the great Ninja Clans would arrange for one genius clan member to enter the Ninja Academy every year to compete for the top rank in their grade as part of maintaining the family's prestige. This was true for the Uchiha Clan, and it was the same for the Hyuga Clan.
Besides arranging for geniuses to enter, some clan members whose parents were deceased, possessed low strength, or were not even Ninjas would also enter the Ninja Academy.
Uchiha Tenmei's adoptive father was only a Genin who hadn't even awakened the Sharingan, and his adoptive mother was an ordinary person.
At the Ninja Academy, there were at least Chuninteachers dedicated to education. Since Uchiha Tenmeiwanted to become a powerful Ninja, he came to the Ninja Academy to study.
Because he was about to start at the Ninja Academy, Uchiha Tenmei had been too excited to sleep last night. When he finally drifted off, Uchiha Tenmei had a dream.
This dream was incredibly realistic.
In the dream, Uchiha Tenmei was a blue-collar worker in his late twenties from the Dragon Kingdom on Planet Blue. During a weekend break, he stayed up late reading novels. Just as dawn was approaching, he suddenly blacked out.
When he woke from the dream, Uchiha Tenmei quickly realized that he was actually a Transmigrator who had crossed over into the Naruto World and become a member of the Uchiha Clan.
He hadn't watched much of the original Naruto series, but he had seen plenty of Naruto fan fiction and short videos about Naruto. Uchiha Tenmei understood that being an Uchiha was extremely dangerous.
The 'Shadow of the Pot,' Danzo Shimura, had always been coveting the power of the Uchiha Clan.
The entire Konoha Elders were wary of the Uchiha Clan.
The Uchiha Clan's Konoha Military Police Force was conscientious and treated all villagers equally, but it was a thankless job. Much like street vendors and urban management, most people tended to think the urban management officers who chased away vendors were in the wrong.
Furthermore, many Uchiha Clan Members often displayed arrogant and haughty personalities in public, making outsiders dislike them. Within Konoha Village, they didn't have any Ninja Clans they were on good terms with.
One could say the Uchiha Clan was very isolated in Konoha Village. In the shadows, Danzo Shimura even sent people to assassinate Uchiha geniuses, weakening the clan's power while trying to research them to obtain their strength.
That wasn't even the worst of it. The most absurd thing was that the yet-to-be-born Uchiha Obito and Uchiha Itachi—those two lunatics—would eventually massacre their own clan.
As an Uchiha, if Uchiha Tenmei didn't have enough strength, even if he didn't die in the Second Great Ninja War or at the hands of Root Ninja, he would eventually die at the hands of Uchiha Itachi or Uchiha Obito.
There were two pieces of bad news.
Uchiha Tenmei was born prematurely, and his physical fitness was among the worst for his age group in the Ninja Clan. He wouldn't receive any special treatment within the Uchiha Clan.
Even after awakening his past life's memories and experiencing a life-or-death realization, Uchiha Tenmeihadn't awakened the Sharingan, indicating his talent wasn't particularly high.
There were also two pieces of good news.
Uchiha Tenmei was a Transmigrator and knew much of the Naruto plot. Perhaps by relying on this information about the future of the Naruto World, he could become a powerhouse and survive until the finale.
Even better news than being a Transmigrator was that Uchiha Tenmei, who had crossed into the Naruto World, possessed a 'Golden Finger'.
This Golden Finger was a dream godhead from another universe. For some reason, it had been drifting in the void and then encountered Uchiha Tenmei's soul as it traversed space, becoming entwined with it and arriving in the Naruto World.
After a brief understanding of the dream godhead's information, Uchiha Tenmei knew it was an incredibly powerful divine artifact that could allow him to grow strong quickly even without following the plot.
The appearance of the dream godhead allowed Uchiha Tenmei to breathe a slight sigh of relief regarding the somewhat dark future, and his heart surged with excitement.
The Uchiha Tenmei who hadn't awakened his past memories was excited because he was entering the Ninja Academy.
The Uchiha Tenmei who had awakened his past memories was excited because of the dream godhead.
Even though Uchiha Tenmei was now a man of two lifetimes, experiencing something more joyful than winning the lottery made it impossible for his heart to settle down.
Fortunately, most of the freshmen were excited about entering the Ninja Academy or about Hiruzen Sarutobi's speech, so Uchiha Tenmei's excitement didn't stand out.
Amidst his excitement, Uchiha Tenmei also observed his surroundings to see who his classmates would be for the next few years.
The first familiar figure he saw was a young version of Minato Namikaze, with yellow hair and a bright, handsome face.
Minato Namikaze and his future wife, Uzumaki Kushina, were classmates. Uchiha Tenmei didn't see any red-haired girls, so Uzumaki Kushina probably hadn't arrived in Konoha Village yet, nor had he heard news of the Uzumaki Clan's destruction.
Minato Namikaze was a plot character. Among the students of the same year, Uchiha Tenmei didn't see any other familiar faces, though his memories of this life allowed him to recognize many people.
For example, Hiruzen Sarutobi's eldest son, Sarutobi Shinnosuke, who was also the father of Uzumaki Naruto's subordinate Konohamaru Sarutobi; the Uchiha Clan genius Uchiha Soukuu; and the Hyuga branch family genius Hyuga Ayako.
Sarutobi Shinnosuke was likely considered a genius within the Sarutobi Clan as well.
Finally, Hiruzen Sarutobi's speech concluded, and the freshman entrance ceremony ended. Under the guidance of their respective teachers, the freshmen headed to their classrooms.
Uchiha Tenmei's class was Class 1-A. The homeroom teacher was Yamada Fuji, an ordinary Chunin.
Minato Namikaze, Sarutobi Shinnosuke, and Hyuga Ayako were in the same class as Uchiha Tenmei, while Uchiha Soukuu was in Class B.
Looking at the school's arrangements, students from the same Ninja Clan almost never appeared in the same class at the same time.
After arriving at the Class 1-A classroom and choosing their seats, Yamada Fuji first gave a self-introduction, and then the students introduced themselves one by one.
