Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 - FREEDOM

In a world where magic exists, Suleiman Vincent was not born in a palace.

He was born in a small village meant for peasants — a place where survival mattered more than legacy and where destiny was often replaced by suffering.

From the moment he could walk, people treated him differently.

His orange hair made him stand out.

Not because it was admired…

But because it reminded people of fire.

And fire in their world meant destruction.

The mark on his left hand was visible at all times. Every dragon vessel had one.

A dark crimson symbol shaped like a burning claw rested on his skin.

No cloth could hide it.

No magic could erase it.

Everyone in the village saw it.

When Suleiman remained calm, the mark simply existed like a silent scar.

But when anger consumed him…

It changed.

The symbol burned with intense light — glowing as if magma was flowing beneath his skin.

Villagers would step back.

Mothers would pull their children away.

Some whispered prayers.

Others called him cursed.

They already knew.

He was the vessel of the Fire Dragon — the strongest dragon recorded in history.

And the strongest power always carries the heaviest hatred.

Hope was a peasant woman.

Kind.

Strong.

And hardworking.

When still enrolled in a magic academy, she once caught the attention of Salvestor Vincent.

Salvestor was a member of the main Vincent family — proud, powerful, and arrogant. They were known by their orange and rod magic.

At first, Salvestor approached Hope out of interest.

But his intentions were never love.

He only slept with her to provoke his brother — a man who secretly admired Hope and wished to marry her even though she was a peasant.

Salvestor wanted to prove dominance.

To show he could take what his brother desired.

He did not care about consequences.

He did not care about the child that might result.

He left after that.

No responsibility.

No attachment.

Hope became pregnant.

But Salvestor rejected her.

He married someone else under family pressure and political arrangement.

He believed the chapter with Hope was over.

He never acknowledged Suleiman.

He never visited.

He assumed mother and child would disappear from history.

Samuel Vincent was different.

He was also from the main Vincent family.

He possessed rod magic — the ability to create black rods of concentrated energy for combat and defense.

Samuel was a pacifist.

He used power only to protect.

He believed strength should defend, not dominate.

Samuel had feelings for Hope long before Salvestor interfered.

He admired her sincerity.

He respected her humility.

When Taizen — the head of the Vincent family — declared that bloodline purity mattered more than personal choice, he rejected their relationship.

Taizen forced Samuel to leave the family for loving a peasant woman.

But Samuel refused to abandon Hope.

He left the prestige of the main house.

He chose her.

And he chose to raise Suleiman as his own son.

Suleiman grew up in a small settlement for peasants.

Children avoided him.

They stared at the mark.

They called him:

"Monster."

"Dragon curse."

"Vessel of destruction."

They bullied him physically and emotionally.

But Samuel always protected him.

He taught him discipline.

He taught him control.

He taught him rod magic basics.

Suleiman showed talent early — especially in controlling fire instinctively — but his power was unstable.

Suleiman was fourteen when everything changed.

The night came without warning.

Two figures entered the village quietly.

Ryder Kane.

A specialist in combat and weapon mastery.

His magic ability remained unknown — deliberately hidden.

And Tobias Reed.

A water magic user who manipulated liquid with terrifying precision.

Their mission:

Capture the Fire Dragon vessel.

Samuel sensed danger immediately.

Rod magic activated.

Black energy rods formed around him as defensive barriers.

He ordered Suleiman to run.

Suleiman refused.

He wanted to fight.

Ryder attacked first.

Blades clashed against rods.

Samuel fought defensively.

His goal was not to kill — only to protect.

That hesitation cost him.

Ryder exploited the opening.

A sharp blade pierced through Samuel's chest.

Blood poured onto the ground.

Samuel collapsed.

Hope rushed forward screaming.

Tobias raised his hand.

Water surged violently from the surrounding air.

The force slammed into Hope's body.

She was thrown against a wall.

She survived.

But her mind shattered.

She fell into a coma.

Suleiman felt something break inside him.

His emotions exploded.

Fire surged uncontrollably through his veins.

Flames burst from his hands for the first time with real power.

The mark on his left hand burned violently.

It glowed like molten lava.

The dragon inside him reacted.

But his power was still unstable.

Ryder watched calmly.

"Too early."

Before the fire could fully awaken…

They injected suppression magic into his body.

His flames died.

His strength faded.

He collapsed.

And they dragged him away.

The August Family operated secretly under the Revolutionary Army.

Their purpose was research.

Their goal was weaponization.

They wanted to understand how the Fire Dragon vessel functioned.

They wanted control.

Suleiman spent seven months chained inside a laboratory.

Scientists monitored:

• Mana output

• Heat resistance

• Emotional triggers

• Mark activation

Needles pierced his skin repeatedly.

Energy was extracted.

Pain became routine.

They studied why the Fire Dragon was historically the strongest.

They observed that anger caused the mark to glow.

They recorded everything.

Ryder visited sometimes.

He stood behind reinforced glass and watched.

He mocked Suleiman.

He reminded him:

"Your father died weak."

"Your mother lives — but she won't recognize you."

Those words created hatred.

Hatred created motivation.

Motivation planted revenge.

The Rescue

One night.

Explosions shattered the laboratory walls.

Alarms screamed.

John Diamond had arrived.

John was a veteran spy who once fought alongside Samuel during wartime operations.

He used blood magic with precision and control.

With him came:

Garfield and Pilotier — support operatives.

John fought through guards.

Blood magic exploded in controlled bursts.

Security collapsed.

He reached the chamber where Suleiman was restrained.

Metal restraints shattered.

Suleiman collapsed into John's arms.

John examined the boy carefully.

He saw scars.

He saw trauma.

He saw untapped power.

John placed a firm hand on his shoulder and said:

"I'm putting you in Jupiter Academy."

Suleiman slowly looked up.

Confused.

Broken.

But alive.
