Chapter 1 - It has begun

Blood oozed onto the floor from the hole in his chest. His lifeless body slumped to the ground, the crimson stain of his life slowly expanding outwards. The young girl looked emotionlessly at the corpse and turned to the man by the window. Moonlight bathed him in supernatural light. He had a knowing smile as he raised his hand and pointed to the night sky.

"He's dead?" she said as her white eyes glowed green

'Fate....'

He smiled and the glow in his eyes clearly wasn't remorse. The window was pulled upwards letting the icy breeze inside. At that time an airplane was landing.

'Fate entangles us, some more than others, and violently pulls them in all directions. Like a boat in the worse storms.....'

A man, Rafael wearing a badge hanging from his belt and a haggard appearance let out a yawn.

"Let's get this over with...." he thought

On his phone was information on the case he was on. A series of mysterious deaths and he turned to the forest that encircled the small town. Briefly, he saw a woman in white attire looking at him with a tearful expression.

"THEY ARE ALL HERE!!!" A voice boomed within the eerie forests

Hearing the faint echo of the announcement, the boy, in the town turned to the forest. He froze and dropped the boxes in his hands.

"COME HELP ME IN HERE!!!" his father said from inside

A photo of his deceased mother fell to the floor and a woman passing by picked it up. She smiled, "Be careful...Alexander."

She vanished and he ran inside. He hid an unnatural glow in his eyes and held back an unknown smile as the woman watched from the forest.

'The pieces of the machine are all present....many paths lay before them....but only one does fate want them to take.....'

A girl looked at the house where Alexander went in with a sad expression. A teen approached her and held out a necklace to her.

"Are you missing this?" he asked

"THANK YOU!" She beamed

The icy wind swept their hair as he looked into her eyes with a smile, " We live to serve the Monarchs."

His eyes had a strong glow and made the girl shake slightly.

"Don't be scared...I can help you." the teen said with a hurt expression "Anything you want."

"Anything?" she hesitated

He was interested and leaned in, "I live to serve..."

"I lost my memory about the time my mum died....my....my dad is suspicious," she told

The teen froze as the original color of his eyes returned. He suddenly walked away but the girl looked firmly in front of her. A purple butterfly appeared there.

"My name is Alexandra...." she told with an imposing aura

"Alexandra...you freeze out there."

She turned to her and Alexander's father, Leonard waiting for her in the doorway. The breeze was gentle and entered their home towards Alexander's room. An unknown creature stared at him in silence.

"Welcome back." a voices echoed happily "We missed you."

' Many are made Kings but we talk of those born as Kings with power so strong that all supernaturals are drawn to them...accused fate'

The white-eyed girl sighed, "I'm tired...."

"Lucielle...just ask me for help, I'll make it go away." the man whispered with a tempting voice

He disappeared with the wind carrying the stench of blood with him. She was alone...a blind girl named Lucielle...

Rafael picked up the smell of blood and was about to pursue its trail. A woman stopped him as Lucielle remember the man's words: " We live to serve the-"

"KILL THE MONARCHS!!!" The woman yelled "OR ELSE-"

*BANG*

Blood splattered everywhere and Rafael was stunned. The body fell quietly to the floor with a hole in its cranium and everyone turned toward him. A smile was plastered on their faces and their eyes fixed on the new face.

Rafael felt a spark chill over his spine.

"Welcome to Silentvile..." they smiled

Rafael coughed out a 'thank you' and speed walked his new house. A cold sweat ran down his body as he slammed the door shut. He trembled

"What...what the hell...." he thought

A woman floated in his corridor with tears running down her cheeks like a river. Her tears made a puddle underneath her and she turned to him and a small smile appeared on her face.

"Save...save the children...." she whispered

Rafael's vision blurred and he collapsed to the floor.

'The gears are in motion....it has started...woe to those who are in the sight of the Monarchs, you can't escape...'

"Our Monarchs have returned." voices laughed "Their time has finally run out and luck has been spent."

Lucielle was in her room and met her aunt who nursed an angry face. She pulled her by her unnatural silver hair and tossed her. The wind became violent and banged on all the corners of the house.

Voices yelled but the aunt couldn't hear them as she stomped out cursing at Lucielle. Anger eyes in the shadows glared at the large woman.

Blood ran down the wound on the girl's forehead. Faintly if one listened closely and you'd hear a cracking of some sort. Lucielle held in her tears as bandages floated towards her.

"Just give us permission..." a voice asked

Tears ran down her face and she cupped her face. She internally screamed at herself and looked at the moon with a tired expression.

"No-" she frowned

' What awaits is unknown...fragile...are the bombs whose timers have started...Can fate change?'

Rafael woke up because of a violent knocking at the door. He allowed the woman inside and watched her frantically look around.

"My husband was murdered." she whispered "A huge hole was in his chest."

Rafael was silent because of the female ghost floating around his guest's body. The ghost seemed to notice Rafael's gaze and smiled, "You can see...."

"Will you help me?" The client asked

"Yes?" Rafael frowned

In order to cool off, the chief sent him here to solve mysteries in the countryside. Rafael, at that time, felt like it was just a paid holiday but now-

"I want to go home." Rafael thought

"My name's Sylvia...let's get along." The ghost grinned
