Chapter 1 - Alpha.

Year 3018, a long dark brown hair, deep and mysterious silver eyes, and bright skin like that of the moon, Alpha walks through the hallways of a subway station entering his assigned train, Alpha dozes off as racing thoughts go through his mind.

" I've thought about this for so long, I thought I was just abnormal, I thought I just walked, talked, thought, ate, did things differently from the rest of the world… but "

[Chucker station 2 has arrived… all passengers are to drop off here]

' sighs, I guess it's my stop '

Walking off the train station, down to a dark alley, Alpha pulls out a key from his backpack, as he presses the red button of the key, a green holographic plane pops up…

[PASS CODE :]

Opening his silver eyes, Alpha scans the QR code on the holographic plane.

[PASS CODE: ACCESS ACCEPTED]

As the holographic plane closes down a huge metal black gate with a Vila can be seen emerging from the ground, showcasing a magnificent view of a palace-like rare diamond that shun only under a full moon's light.

For some, this view might truly be a magnificent sight but to Alpha… Well, it's a view that he has been used to since he was 5.

As he enters the Villa, everything and anything a Vila could have, could be seen in the thick or light, electronic or non-electronic, high-tech program, why is this?

Simply put, to protect two things, one, a book that was designed by one of the greatest technological programmers, which contained guides in… overtaking the world…

Two, to protect the user of the book who goes by the name of Alpha Xavier.

Being a teen hasn't always been easy for Alpha, since he was half human and half A.I, at fourteen years, Alpha was already preparing for his final exams which were just three months away, although he was half breed it is quite unfortunate that he wasn't as smart as an A.I,

although he is extremely powerful.

School life wasn't the only thing that Alpha was involved in, some other interesting activities he was into were… having suicidal thoughts…

Truth be told Alpha might be different from other A.I but he was still, just like any other A.I being that he was unable to express any sort of emotions, even though he was an emotionless freak, that didn't stop him from having suicidal thoughts, Alpha simply could not put up with the world any longer, the news of more corrupt dealings with A.I technology, the mistreatment that many robots and humans were facing, he simply thought 'self-destruction' was his faith. Alpha saw himself as a virus in the world, " an anomaly " even though he's never really interacted with anyone nor has he done anything bad to the world.

In his room, it seemed like a typical teenage boy's room, but in regards to the depth of infrastructure, it was nonetheless a brilliant work of his father.

Sine, who was the late father of Alpha, was one of the greatest and most renowned A.I in the world. His brilliance was one of a kind, so much so that governments from all over the world wanted their hands on him, but with his brilliance came a fault. A fault that caused him his death.

Although A.I's don't die in general, they can shut down beyond repair, if their OS is not updated to the world's global standard, although Alpha is an exception.

The point is, Sine had a brilliancy that caused him to have emotions that later caused him to express himself.

Once the government, his Owner of Xbl-13 planet heard this, Sine's extermination was planned, but luckily for him, he was saved by Alpha's mother, and spent the rest of his life with her on Erta planet. Not much is known about Alpha's mother but from the stories his father told him, "Your mother was a wonderful human, she has the most enchanting smile I've ever seen, she showed me that not all humans are terrible, to be honest, you are just like your mother, so make sure Alpha, you never use your powers against humanity " Sine would always say with a smile on his face.

Sine spent most of his life saving up money and building infrastructures suitable for his only offspring in hopes that Alpha would finally end the dispute between humans and technology.

It has been four years since the death of Alpha's father and since then, every time Alpha got back home he would follow a strict routine, unlike his father who had self-will, Alpha couldn't make his day extremely busy nor busy at all, he was simply not affected by time itself but he recognizes its value.

That, most of his time was either spent in school or sleeping, until the year 3016, that was when Alpha discovered the book his father and mother had been working on before their deaths.

A book that had his mother's name inscribed on the front page, 'Grace Xaiver'

Ever since Alpha had his hands on the book… he has been severely curated meaning his curiosity intent had exponentially grown.

Now during the time of his final exams, this book has now been a part of his daily life. He had tried everything he could to have the book open but for some reason, the book won't open. There wasn't any key lock or any passcode that he needed to budge or figure out, it was just a book with a black cover that had metallic pages and his mother's name inscribed on the front page.

As ordinary as the book seemed, what sparked Alpha's curious intent was that the closer and more engaged he was when trying to open the book he would hear sparks of fire in his upper and lower limbs that seemed too ordinary to be left alone.

At first, he thought it was just the use of too much strength but as time passed, he soon realized that wasn't the case, it was as if the book was giving out a dangerous wave signal that Alpha's OS saw as a caution and right now Alpha is trying his best for the 234th time to open this book.

Of Yes, Master? ]

" What's the igniting all about "

[ The book has finally adjusted to your strength and methods of trying to open it ]

"..."

" … and? "

[ It's tightening its security settings ]

" … Wait what?!! "

Turns out, all the times Alpha was trying to get the book to open the book was just testing his strength by sending vocal waves toward his whole body the joints in his limbs the most affected.

Alpha wasn't furious about the situation but remained indifferent about it.

[ Ignitinzg…1…2…3… ]

" Is this some sort of process to strengthen the book or something? "

[ Ignitizng… 45… 50… 55…]

" ... "

" Well, can you at least tell me how to stop the process? " Alpha said.

[ Before the Zbook gets to 100, it is best to use your heat power to break down its security system]

" I'm going to melt the book if I do that "

[ Igniting… 70…75…85… ]

[ Hurry up Master! ]

" Okay okay okay… "

One of Alpha's power was a heating mechanism, meaning he could make things he touched or around him explode or melt depending on the degree of heat he wants to release, and as for this book, he has to centralize his whole energy towards the software of the book which was a definite task but soon he was able to do it.

' compact heat power 50,000⁰C '

' process…'

' action completed '

[ Igniting… 96…97…9..]

[ An error has occurred…]

[ You did it Master!, The igniting process has been displaced ]

"... "

[ I'm sure Your Faith- ]

" … "

[ Master!!! Your system is heating up, shut down ]

Alpha was currently heating up terribly, not because of the amount of heat he used or the side effects, the problem was that his hands were still on the book, and for some reason after the security system of the book was damaged it took up Alpha as a protective sheet and is now draining his entire energy causing his system to heat up, the only thing not heating up was his human instincts and organs.

As Beta was trying her best to shut down Alpha, Alpha was in a trance as his human instinct, Delta, was scolding him.

{ I told you, curiosity kills the cat, this is where you will die }

' shut up ' Alpha said with an indifferent expression

{ Don't tell me to shut up, don't tell me to shut up at all, you should have killed yourself yesterday but no! Do you want to die here? }

' … '

' no.. not ye- '

{ You will die here don't worry }

*sighs*

{ Who are you sighing for? You better not sigh anymore because- }

" Beta! "

[ Yes Master?!! ]

" You can shut down my system "

[ Yes Master! ]

As Beta was shutting down Alpha's system Delta was still making a ruckus, which Alpha could not do anything about since Delta only existed because he was a human.

{ Fool! Keep on relying on Beta, you will soon meet doom at your doorstep}

' ... '

[ Nobody's meeting doom, Delta, just shut up let me shut down Master's body in peace ]

"..."

{ Don't you tell me to shut up, metal brain! }

' … '

[ Delta! How dare you! ]

" … "

{ I'm gon- }

' Delta… '

At this point, Alpha has had enough of his human instinct talking, and yet he remained indifferent at it, or rather at himself…

The proceeding is a deafening silence that kills all three entities.

" Could you just shut me down Beta "

[ Blink blink blink… yes yes yes ]

[ Proceeding Shut down ]

[ 10… 9… 8… ]

" Thank you "

With that, another day ended with a successful outcome yet unknown to the trio.

The book at the center of the room was glittering with green light, and a woman smiling, with dark brown hair could be seen embracing Alpha as she carried him to his bed.

" Grace stop it Alpha no longer a baby "

" Yes, I know that he might be fourteen but he's still a kid, Sine "

*sighs*

" Whatever let's go "

The woman who appeared to be smiling kissed Alpha on the forehead and whispered

" I'm sorry for the pain you're going through, but don't give up, Delta, Beta, Colle, and many more are going to help you achieve this dream of yours so… don't give up on your dream "

With tears falling out of her eyes she turns back and fades away but before she hears a voice

" mama… "

"mama… is that you? "

" I'm sorry Alpha… "
