"Fate flips it's coin, choosing between darkness and desire..."
The flames closed in, growing taller and hotter each second. The smoke filled her lungs erupting painful coughs. Adrianna's knees wobbled, "Help! Someone, help" she cried, teary eyed as the fire spread to the ceiling of the tent.
"Is this it? Do I die like this?" she felt her consciousness slowly slipping away, Ryker's weight slowly bringing her to her knees.
She closed her eyes, prepared for the worse…
"Ngh!"
Before she could form a thought, Ryker's arm hooked around her waist, and in one swift move, he lifted her above his head.
"What…are…you doing?" she asked in between coughs.
She gained her answer when he ran for an exit, through the dancing flame, with no regard whatsoever for his wounds. He dashed out of the tent, flames sticking to his lower body.
The second they were out, he threw her body forward, and fell with a silent thud into the snow!
