Chapter 27 - An Unexpected Involvement

"The first battle fought, is a battle within one's self...."

Eira was dragged to a spacious area, her hands shackled together. The structure was curved, had multiple layers of seating that surrounded them, supported by some of the most beautiful stonework craftsmanship for it's arches and columns.

"Move it!" A guard pushed her forward, rattling her chains.

She followed to the center of the arena, where the northern general stood, a sword sitting on his belt.

"General, we've brought the prisoner!" one of his men announced.

The general turned to them, taking his first look at the princess. Upon seeing her thin figure, sunken eyes and pale skin, he scoffed. "As expected, an inferior specie could never measure up." he reached for his sword holster, wanting to put her out of her misery once and for all.
