Ryker grunted, "Keep searching the surrounding areas for any traces, the lycans naturally can conceal their scent, but it isn't like they're trained at covering their tracks, there's bound to be something we can work with." he said, dismissing Wren.
Wren nodded, then turned to leave, just before leaving, he stole a glance at the sleeping outsider, particularly her flickering eyelids. He parted his lips to speak, but decided against it and left the tent.
The moment he left, Adrianna sighed in relief.
"You can stop pretending now, its just the two of us here." Ryker stated, his tone flat.
Adrianna's heart skipped a beat, since when did he realize she was awake?
She opened her eyes, only to be welcomed by the sight of a jagged red mark, with rough raised edge at the left side of his neck.
She gasped and covered her mouth, "That scar…" she could not bring herself to ask.
