"They're here, we need to leave!"
Mr. Reyes came bursting through the front door. Rayleigh heard the leaves on the trees outside shaking like crazy and footsteps approaching.
"Okay, Uldess you take Rayleigh and Alex. Galva and I can handle the devils."
As Robin said this, she took off her bracelet, which turned into a sword. Mr. Reyes nodded, took Rayleigh and Alex by the arms, and pulled them into the back garden.
"Robin, we will be at the Sanction, so try not to die; there is still a lot you need to tell Rayleigh."
Robin turned around and nodded.
"Mom, I'm still not sure what is going on, but please be safe."
With that, Mr. Reyes pushed Rayleigh and Alex into the back garden.
The first thing Rayleigh noticed was that there was a glowing ring on the ground. Mr. Reyes pushed them into the center.
"Right, I am sending both of you to the security Section. Robin and I will be there soon."
Rayleigh was still so confused that he didn't notice a massive tentacle-like blade shoot out of the sky into the ground. Then everything went dark.
"Alex? Where are we?"
"Don't worry Rayleigh we are at the sanction of safety, no one who has the intention of killing you can come within a 5-kilometer radius of us."
Rayleigh's head at this point was spinning, and he was possibly nauseous, not to mention all the questions he had for Alex. As Reyliegh's eyes started to adjust to the darkness, she noticed something that looked like a Dyson sphere in the center of the room.
"Alex, can you please tell me what is going on now?"
Rayleigh said with a shaky voice, he had no idea of what was happening, his mom might be dead, and he had just found out he was the son of a god.
"I am not one hundred percent sure how to explain it, Ray, but I can help you learn to control your powers."
At the mention of powers, Rayleigh looked up at Alex with hope. He had always loved reading comic books and used to daydream in class about becoming a superhero.
*******************************
As Rayleigh and Alex got ready to try to get Rayleigh's powers to awaken fully, Rayleigh had a question.
"Alex, what kind of powers do I have?"
Alex looked at him.
"Ray, to be honest, the only people who can tell you that are Mr. Ryese."
Rayleigh looked at Alex and started to wonder what his powers were. Where are they going to be generic powers like super strength, flight, and super speed? Or are they going to be similar to his dad's, even though he had no idea what powers his dad had? Ale, noticing the expression on Rayliegh's face, decided to start helping him.
"First, let's start with energy generation. Close your eyes and feel your blood move throughout your body, visualize the blood speeding up and turning into something else."
As Alex instructed Rayleigh on what to do, Rayleigh felt the same energy flowing throughout his body, but this time it felt more controlled and more dense. Alex continued.
"Once you feel the energy force it to your hands and then concentrate it as a burst of Lightning."
Rayleigh did as Alex said and felt the energy flow into his hands. He then curled his hands into fists and shot the lightning straight at the wall.
"Not bad, Ray, the fact that you don't have a contract or blood tie to a Lightning spirit and were able to use lightning manipulation in such a short time is some-"
There was the sound of a gun being fired, and Alex began to fall to the ground. Rayleigh saw the bullet wound in his head.
"Well, that was easier than my master thought. I expected they would give me my own unit when I reported to them that I had killed you, Rayleigh."
It was Mr. Brock who was holding a gun.
"How did you get in? Alex said that no one who had the desire to kill me could even get close to us."
Rayleigh was shaking uncontrollably. Not only was his best friend dead, but the fact that Mr. Brock was standing in front of him meant that Mr. Ryese and both his and Alex's moms were properly dead as well. Mr. Brock looked at Rayliegh as if he were a child playing in the mud.
"It is simple, Rayleigh. The rule stated that anyone who had the intention of killing you could not enter, but that was not my intention. I intended to come and drag you out of the area affected by the Sanction and kill you then. And one more thing, please stop calling me Mr. Bock, it irritates me so, my real name is Orgriral."
Orgriral kept on talking, but Rayleigh wasn't listening; he was staring at his friend's corpse.
"I'll kill you,"
Rayleigh whispered.
" I'm sorry, I didn't get tha-"
Rayleigh vanished from the spot he had been standing in and appeared behind Orgriral.
"I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU!"
Rayleigh summoned his power into his hand, and the lightning took shape into a spiked war hammer. He then swung it with all his might downwards onto Orgriral. Orgriral stopped it with his hand, which started to bleed a bit
"Impressive,nRayleigh, not many have been able to make me bleed-"
Before Orgriral could continue, Rayleigh vanished again and reappeared in front of Orgriral. Rayleigh tuned his lightning into the shape of a danger, but unlike the war hammer, which was made out of lightning, the danger started to become silver. Rayleigh, still in a blind rage,n ot even noticing the danger taking a physical shape, drove it straight into Orgriral's neck. Orgrirall, taken by surprise and deeply injured, stumbles backward, cursing Rayleigh, and then vanishes. Rayleigh, weakened by the overuse of energy, fell to his knees before fainting. He saw Mr. Ryese running over to him and Alex.
