Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The Rolls-Royce Phantom came to a stop at the school gate. The driver stepped out and courteously opened the door.

A tall young man, around 17 or 18 years old, stepped out, dressed in the school uniform. He had long black hair, striking blue eyes, and a handsome appearance.

Several female students wanted to approach him for a conversation but hesitated. Meanwhile, the male students wore gloomy expressions, their jealousy evident, though none dared to express it openly in front of him.

This young man was Wang Haoran, and at the moment, he was in a particularly bad mood.

After all, no one would be in a good mood if something like this happened to them.

Wang Haoran was a transmigrator.

Before his transmigration, he had been an orphan. In his previous world, he was also around 17 or 18 years old, but due to an accident, he lost his life and was reborn here.

Now, he attended school in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, and his pocket money was far higher than the salary of an average employee.

After his transmigration, he would often wake up with a smile, thinking about the luxurious life he was now living.

He was no longer a struggling orphan but a rich second-generation heir with a wealthy family, handsome looks, and a good education.

Needless to say, he had more money than he could ever need.

In fact, for the first few days after his transmigration, his life was filled with luxury and enjoyment.

After all, his previous life was nothing like the one he had now. Compared to before, everything was much better.

Anyone in his position would feel the same way.

But a happy and carefree life never lasts forever—something intriguing had happened.

Recently, in his class, a student who had always ranked at the bottom in every test suddenly showed tremendous improvement. His academic performance had risen to an entirely new level.

Not only that, but he had also started chatting with the class monitor—one of the most beautiful girl in the school.

But in the eyes of his classmates and others, Wang Haoran and the class monitor were considered a good match, even though she had never acknowledged it.

Wang Haoran's underlings couldn't tolerate the fact that some random guy had the guts to get acquainted with the class monitor.

For that reason, his underlings dragged that guy to a corner of the school yesterday, intending to teach him a lesson.

From the looks of it, a three-versus-one fight should have had an obvious outcome.

But surprisingly, it was his three underlings who ended up getting beaten up instead!

Wang Haoran, who used to be an avid reader of Chinese and Korean novels in his past life, couldn't shake the feeling that this situation felt unnervingly familiar.

_Isn't this plot exactly like one of those urban novels where a loser student suddenly gains immense wealth and gathers a harem of beautiful girls?_

Moreover, his family background and living conditions were exactly like those of a typical wealthy second-generation villain.

When Wang Haoran thought about it, he wanted to laugh. It was amusing, yet at the same time, he felt like he was overthinking things.

But just as he was about to brush it off, a system suddenly appeared—the standard cheat for a transmigrator.

It was called the Ultimate Villain System.

The system informed him that he had indeed transmigrated into a parallel world modeled after urban fiction novels.

And as expected, he was the rich second-generation villain. There was no need to doubt the inevitable fate that awaited him—being crushed by the Protagonist.

According to the plot, he would repeatedly clash with the Protagonist, only to fail at every turn. In less than a few hundred chapters, he would probably be utterly ruined, his wealth gone, his reputation destroyed.

Not only would he die, but the Protagonist would also seize his family's fortune, and the School beauty —whom everyone thought was his match—would inevitably fall for the Protagonist instead.

_Damn! What's so good about transmigrating into a villain's body when I wouldn't even survive for a few hundred chapters? Am I just the Protagonist's plaything?!"_

Wang Haoran cursed inwardly.

However, there was nothing he could do about it—at least, not yet. He knew he didn't have the power to change his fate so easily.

Of course, that didn't mean he had resigned himself to his doomed ending.

Judging from the events of the past few days, it was clear that the novel's plot had only just begun.

The Protagonist was still in his early development stage—he had yet to become strong or influential enough.

Right now, Wang Haoran had far more resources, manpower, and influence than the Protagonist.

As long as he played his cards right, used his power wisely, and manipulated the plot in his favor, it wasn't impossible to turn the tables on the Protagonist.

Boss."

Wang Haoran's thoughts were interrupted by one of his underlings—a boy walking toward him with visible bruises on his face.

It was evident that he had been beaten up by the Protagonist.

This boy was one of Wang Haoran's three lackeys, named Fan Jian.

The other two were Fan Tong and Qin Shousheng.

Wait… what did their names mean again?

Fan Jian—Wicked lawbreaker?

Fan Tong—Blockhead?

Qin Shousheng—Vicious student?

Clearly, these three were deliberately written as detestable villains, a trope the author had intentionally followed.

Fan Jian looked embarrassed, avoiding Wang Haoran's gaze.

It was indeed shameful.

The three of them couldn't even handle a single opponent.

After being stared at in silence, Fan Jian hesitated before taking the initiative to admit his mistake.

"Boss, since we've humiliated you, you can beat us or blame us if you want."

Wang Haoran didn't react with anger. Instead, he asked, "Why are you alone? Where are the other two?"

Wang Haoran knew that blaming them was pointless.

With the Protagonist's Halo protecting him, how could he possibly be defeated by just three underlings?

Seeing that Wang Haoran didn't scold him, Fan Jian sighed in relief. He stepped closer and joked,

"Actually, Boss, I managed to escape while the other two were too slow and ended up taking the full beating. They were beaten so badly that half of their faces are nearly unrecognizable! I'd say they've lost a good chunk of their fortune along with their dignity!"

Wang Haoran was left speechless.

Looking at Fan Jian's expression, he couldn't help but think—_What kind of dumb lackeys did the author force me to associate with_?

Despite running away while his companions got beaten, he still had the audacity to act triumphant?

Did he actually expect to be praised after failing so miserably?!

"If you keep laughing, I'll slap you."

Wang Haoran couldn't stand the sight of Fan Jian grinning foolishly, so he reprimanded him.

"Boss, please don't! I was wrong, I won't laugh anymore!" Fan Jian hurriedly admitted his mistake before adding, "Boss, don't worry, I'll find him and make sure he gets what he deserves right away! It's not like he has three heads and six arms. I'll take ten brothers with me today!"

"Don't waste your time. It's useless." Wang Haoran shook his head.

Right now, the Protagonist was already wary of him. On top of that, with the Protagonist's Halo, sending more people would be no different than delivering sandbags for him to practice on.

Even if the Protagonist couldn't defeat them outright, he would still manage to escape effortlessly.

It was a pointless effort.

"It's useless? Then, Boss, how about I call twenty brothers?" Fan Jian suggested confidently.

Why are you spouting such nonsense? I told you, it's useless."

"How is that possible? In that case, I'll call at least thirty brothers!"

"You might as well call your mother! Forget about it!" Wang Haoran finally lost his temper.

"Call my mother? Boss, that won't do. She has a frail body," Fan Jian said bitterly.

Wang Haoran massaged his temples, feeling a headache coming on.

Just what kind of stupid lackey did the author force on me…?

Wang Haoran resisted the urge to hit someone and gradually calmed down.

"You must never do this sort of thing again."

"Eh? But Boss, that kid wants to pick up sister-in-law. Who does he think he is? We really can't stand him," Fan Jian protested.

Wang Haoran narrowed his eyes. "Let me ask you—who's more handsome, him or me?"

"Of course, it's Boss! How can that kid compare to you? He's at best average-looking," Fan Jian replied without hesitation. This wasn't flattery—it was simply the truth.

"And what about our family backgrounds?" Wang Haoran continued.

"Boss, your family has assets worth tens of billions. That kid? He's just from an ordinary family—he can't compare at all!"

"And our grades?"

"Boss, you're in the top ten of the entire school, a true top student. That guy is always at the bottom of the rankings—he's a mediocre student at best."

"Isn't that enough? With my qualifications, could I really be outdone by some bottom-ranker? Do you even need to take care of it?"

Fan Jian finally realized his mistake. "Boss, I understand now. This was completely unnecessary. We acted without your orders and only made things more troublesome. That kid isn't even worth comparing to you."

Staring at his dumb little brother, who still had a silly look on his face, Wang Haoran nodded in satisfaction.

Just then, a system notification popped up in his mind.

[Ding! Guiding the little brother's behavior has slightly altered the plot's direction. Received 100 Villain Points.]
