Early that morning, his spy reported back to him for the first time and as it turned out, Alec has been doing some digging on Iris. It didn't shock him because he knew it was only a matter of time before he started trying to verify her identity to make sure she wasn't the ex he screwed over.
Reports had told him that he couldn't find anything on Nyxia and that could make him suspicious, the thought of what to do next has been heavy on his mind that he didn't notice Iris until she was up close in his face.
He blinked out of his thoughts, becoming aware there are many people around them. When she started to speak, he was half paying attention to her as he spied Alpha Alec and his men making their way towards them.
