Chapter 33 - The Mating Dance

IRIS 

I had to compose myself first before getting out of the car after being rattled by Alpha Alec's presence back at home. Several minutes later, I was still mad about my reaction to seeing him. I think the frequent nightmares I'm having these days contributed to the incident. 

What if Xander hadn't been there or he didn't act so quickly? I would remained there frozen like a fucking loser! I hated how weak I appeared where Alec was concerned. 

"We've arrived at Shadow-Moon Pack, Luna." The driver announced as the car slowed down at the Pack's building. 

Annika was already waiting at the front steps, a fake polite smile on her face. I felt Gwen adjust my dress from behind so I waited until she was done before making my way up the steps to meet her halfway. 

"Oh my, I was starting to think you changed your mind about coming." She laughed a little, making a hand gesture at us to follow her inside.
