Chapter 1 - A Day that marks the new beginning

In a deep within the forest, a big roar erupted. Roar enough to send shiver down the spine of any being.

That was none other than the dragon's roar. But what was fascinating about this scene was that this same dragon was breathing its last breathes.

Even in his last breath, the dragon roar was enough to send terror to any human who witness.

But, there stood a man with no change in his expression as if he has lost his expression.

Man was none other than the Ryan, the strongest swordsman that mankind has ever witness in history.

Ryan, stood there with his sword pierce in dragon's throat.

He saw dragon taking away last breath but yet he didn't blink an eye to this. The scene was enough to send any man terrors down their throat.

"Sigh, finally your end has come. You must have felt how brave I must be to come and fight you alone." Ryan said to dragon as dragon took its last breath.

After a while, Ryan added, "I don't want to take the burdens of others on my shoulder. I too want to live a normal life with friends and family. But, alas life didn't give me such a chance"

Suddenly a small gem emerged from the dragon and it started revolving around the Ryan. The gem went inside Ryan as if it was originally part of his body.

Despite being called the strongest swordsman to ever lived, he had to go through a long battle to defeat dragon. He was tattered and his armor and swords had worn away.

He took a step and felt down on the nearby rock.

"It looks like my time has also come. I will finally be able to join you Lucy" Ryan whispered to himself.

Suddenly, Ryan started hearing small steps. He thought people have come to rescue him.

He thought, "I don't have any meaning to my life, the sword that I practice so much doesn't spark the same as it once did. Nor do I have any purpose to live, I have defeated the dragon that once terror the people is now dead."

"Now, let me go", Ryan spoke as if telling others to not to come to him.

"What! where do you want us to let you go to? Do you want to go to heaven or hell?, If any, we are just here to do so? kekeke", old man in his fifty jokingly said.

"Wow, wow, what a sight to behold! The strongest swordsman has finally fallen down", A big bulky guy amusingly said.

"Shit! I myself wanted to kill him but it looks like there is no point in it now.", Another guy having thin build said angrily.

When Ryan heard this word, he instantly knew who they were. They were none other than the sword saint, a man in his fifty, the Juggernaut, a big bulky guy and 7 circle magician having thin build.

Despite seeing them, he had no change in expression as though he had expected this from beginning.

From very beginning he knew how the world was, he was abandoned by his parents when he was small.

He grew up in a small monastery and the strong would always used to bully the weak.

He who grew up in such a situation from get go knew the working of society. But, he didn't expected that the comrades that he once fought with together would come for his life.

The biggest irony was that he himself was on his last breath but yet the fate had some other plan.

"I knew this would happen but I didn't know that you will be the ones to betray me, hahaha. Go and thrash your sword to my heart, pierced it with all your strength" Ryan angrily lashed out towards them.

He held his sword tightly and in a blink of a moment he appeared before magician and cut off his hand separating him with his magic staff.

"Ahhh! Ahhhh! my hand! my hand! you bastard" Magician cried

Ryan didn't stop there and attacked juggernaut and while trying to slice him up, the sword saint pierced him in his heart from behind.

Ryan closed his eyes thinking how unfair life was to him that even in his last breath he had to die from his once comrades.

Slowly, Ryan lost consciousness and when he thought he died.

A miracle happen, as if fate was seeing from faraway and smiling playing its part.
