Chapter 1 - Fallen

...My name is Runalia Carolen. Everybody calls me Runa. The one beside me is my twin brother, Luis Carolen. We are raised together by our parents in Rondon Village, located far to the southwest of the map. And today, as both of us were busy hunting our food for the day, a man fell from the sky. What's weird is that his body doesn't seem to have even a scratch, and he was also naked. Who is he and where does he come from? Suddenly, the man stood up slowly and looked around. Both of us then called out to him.

"Are you alright? I am Luis Carolen and over there is my sister, Runa. Who are you and what happened?" My brother asked.

The man however, looked just as confused as us.

"...I do not know who I am, nor do I know where we are. I remember being able to read and write. Yet at this very moment, I do not know of my origin."

The boy said with a serious face accompanied with a calming tone. I can't help but look away because he is still without a piece of cloth.

"Well, how about you wear my shirt for now and we head back to the village. It's about time for the sun to go down too." Luis said as he handed the man his shirt while looking at his wristwatch.

The man did not say a thing, and we walked through the forest to reach our home. The silence was loud. Us siblings usually doesn't talk because we know pretty much everything about ourselves. The amnesiac however, makes no attempt at small talk. He's probably trying to process the information at hand. Couldn't blame him if he really does lose his memory. But it is weird that the memories he lost are specifically his identity. I don't have much to go on, maybe time itself will reveal him his identity. Let the river flow, they say.

And so we reached our parent's house. A restaurant on the bottom floor and rooms on the top floor. Usually it would be flooding with customers at this time of the day, yet it was empty. And the reason for that is because today is Sunday. We are closed on Sunday to restock on the ingredients. We aren't exactly making a fortune with it, but it does help us to even have savings in case of an emergency.

"Dad, come downstairs for a bit"

If you hadn't realized, this is the first time I talked with my vocal chord in this series. But anyway...

"Calling me down, why are you?"

My dad said as he keeps a walking pace downstairs.

This is our dad. Despite his way of speaking, he is actually the most reasonable person in the village. Why haven't we reported the amnesiac as missing person yet, you ask? It's because the Knight Headquarters are closed at night. More specifically, the counter for making and accepting requests. So our friend here have to stay the night.

"Quite daring, your choice of attire" He said to the amnesiac that's wearing nothing but Luis's shirt on his waist. Both me and Luis took turns explaining the whole situation to our dad.

"Understood, I have. Collecting dust, the guest room had. Come back here you must, after making the report. Back home you must, after you are found." Spoke Dad.

The amnesiac nod gently and replied with a simple thank you. I've been thinking for a while now, and we need to give him a temporary name. Calling him amnesiac, unknown or stranger feels rude. So that night, I urged the guy in question to come to our room, which is located the closest to the stairs. Luis and my room are divided in half by a tape on the floor. The side closest to the door are mine, and the other half is his side.

"So, any name you've been thinking off?" Luis asked the amnesiac, and he replied by shaking his head to the side.

"It's only temporary, so don't need to think about it too hard. Only until we find your parents." I continued, while also thinking of a name myself. I've been thinking something like "Fallen" since he kind of fell from the sky when we first met him. But who would even give someone that name?

And thus, about 30 minute has gone away from thinking of a name for our new friend. Luis is also terrible at giving names, just like I did. He genuinely considered "Mebius", "Limedayo" and "Buraikan". I think he's just thinking of cool names. And then something clicked inside of me.

"How about Allen? It sounds normal, and it also rhymes with Carolen. Of course, we aren't officially adopting you. It's only until we find your family. Do you like it?" I asked diligently.

"Allen, huh? I think I could get used to being called with that name." He replied.

"So let's start from the beginning. Nice to meet you. I am Luis Carolen."

"And I am Runalia Carolen. But you can call me Runa. What is your name?"

"I lost memories of myself, but you both may call me Allen. Nice to meet you both"

With that, he is now known as Allen.

....yes, I removed the F from "Fallen" and just called it a day. A real hard work, if I do say so myself. It was at this point that I forgot about my unfinished assignment which is due tomorrow.
