Lydia's face was etched with disgust. "What nonsense are you talking about?" she questioned, and Caleb stared at her, his eyes filled with undeniable anger.
"Trying to act innocent, huh?" he asked back, not ready to believe anything she said. Over the years, he had a good reputation in the Royal house and had never had anything to do with a lady. He was without a mate, so getting a female she wolf who wasn't his mate pregnant was a thing of shame.
So when he heard it from one of the servants' mouths, he was enraged and looked for Lydia.
"Innocent? You got the wrong person, Caleb. Why would I even spread such foolish rumours? You're not even worthy to be the father of my kids, so back off," Lydia spoke coldly, and Caleb's eyes darkened.
