Chapter 3 - chapter 4

After we finished explaining Onan's past, let's return to the present. But this time, we'll talk about someone else. Don't worry, we'll continue Onan's story later — but for now, let's follow the story of a Light Knight named Connor, the legitimate son of Governor Clinton.

Our knight sets out on a mission to rescue a kidnapped lawyer. Accompanying him is a small flying robot, which serves as a communication device for his sister, Samantha — the daughter of Governor Clinton.

Connor arrives at the gang's headquarters where the lawyer is being held.

Samantha: "Their base has some areas you can use to sneak in…"

Connor: "Sneak in? You must be joking, sister. Stealth is boring and for the weak. I'd rather storm in and kick their butts directly."

Samantha: "Please, brother, I know you're strong and skilled, but you can't always rely on brute force. Sometimes you have to use your brain instead of your muscles."

Connor ignores his sister's advice and enters the gang's base, delivering a speech:

Connor: "Listen up, my friends. We have a problem, and there are two ways we can solve it. The easy way, which involves your surrender and the release of the lawyer. Or the hard way — where you attack me, fail to kill me, and I free the lawyer anyway. Both options end the same, but I prefer the second because I really want to use my awesome lightsaber on you."

The gang opens fire, shooting lasers, which Connor deflects effortlessly. Then, he begins killing the gang members in a... rather unnecessary manner. One gang member turns to another and says:

"He's strong. We need to use Project X5 to beat him."

Connor kills the first thug and grabs the second one, the one who received the order. He's about to kill him but changes his mind.

Connor: "You know what? I'll let you go. I want to find out what Project X5 is."

The thug runs off and activates Project X5, which turns out to be a giant robot.

Connor: "Seriously? A giant robot? I was expecting something cooler."

The robot begins attacking Connor, but he dodges all its strikes. The robot's attacks destroy the ground and walls, but none hit Connor.

Connor: "I mean, seriously. Don't you criminals ever think of more creative ways to get things done? And your robot design is so generic, it looks like any other boring robot."

The robot fires a laser beam, but Connor blocks it with his lightsaber and reflects it back, destroying the robot. Then he kills the thug who controlled it and rescues the lawyer.

This seems like a successful, flawless mission... right?

Well, not quite.

After Connor returns to the Light Knights' headquarters, he greets everyone — but no one responds. He's confused. He goes to speak with his sister Samantha.

Connor: "Why is no one responding to me? Did something bad happen?"

Samantha: "Yes, something bad did happen. You."

Connor: "What do you mean?"

Samantha: "I remember when you were soft and gentle as a child, and how our father tried to change you. You worked hard and trained to become a Light Knight. But now, you've become arrogant and prideful. Honestly, I liked you more when you were kind and fragile."

Connor: "Is that really the reason you're all treating me like this?"

Samantha yells:

Samantha: "No!!! That's not the only reason. You murdered a bunch of criminals in cold blood without a shred of remorse, and that's a serious problem!"

Connor: "Oh come on, sister. Don't tell me you're feeling sorry for those scumbags. They're criminals — they deserve to die."

Samantha: "No matter their crimes, they're still human like us. We don't kill unless absolutely necessary. That's one of the core laws of the Light Knights — a law you clearly don't follow. You could've just destroyed their weapons and arrested them. But no — you chose to kill them, and you even enjoyed it. You were showing off."

She takes a deep breath and continues:

Samantha: "You're my brother, Connor. I don't want anyone in my family to turn into a monster."

Connor is moved by his sister's words and falls silent. He walks away, deep in thought about what he's done.

Meanwhile, Onan wakes up and starts thinking about how to get a new house.

Onan's thoughts:

(Alright, I need to figure out a way to buy a house. Jito doesn't have any jobs for me right now — other than training his followers, which I'd rather die than do. Hmm... what should I do… Should I steal? No, no, I may be a bad person, but I'd never steal from someone innocent… Oh, who am I kidding? My morals and principles have been twisted long ago. Stealing is probably the least evil thing I do these days. Fine, I'll steal from the government. Governor Clinton is rich — he won't be hurt if I take a few million.)

Onan sets off to steal from the governor.

Back to Connor, who is summoned by his father.

He enters his father's office.

Clinton: "Son, I have something important to tell you."

Connor: "What is it, father?"

Clinton: "My doctor told me I only have five years left to live. Usually, a ruler passes on leadership to his son. But I'm going to do something different. Your sister will inherit my position."

Connor: "What!!?"

Clinton: "Over the years, I've watched you both. Samantha has shown more wisdom, intelligence, and rationality than you. Lately, you've been reckless and impulsive."

Connor: "Oh come on! Has everyone suddenly grown a soft spot for criminals? I stopped the bad guys and saved the lawyer, and now you're rewarding me by removing me from succession? And giving it to a girl?"

Clinton: "Son, you have to understand—"

Connor (interrupting): "I don't want to understand anything. If you want to hand your rule to a girl, go ahead. I'm sure the people will love being ruled by a woman."

Connor storms out and slams the door behind him.

Meanwhile, Onan manages to sneak into the palace, bypass all the guards, and reach the vault containing the money — but he is interrupted by Connor.

Connor: "You showed up at the perfect time, my friend. I've been in a really bad mood today, and what I need now is to beat a criminal to a pulp."

Onan draws his black metal sword made of Araxis steel. Connor ignites his glowing lightsaber. Both of them assume their battle stances. They take a deep breath and charge at each other.
