Cade's POV
I closed the door of my truck so hard that the whole vehicle shook.
The marriage certificate in my father's hand felt like a death sentence. My death sentence. Everything was turning out of control.
"Son!" My father called out as I walked towards the house. "Come talk to us"
Victoria was standing next to him, her smile so fake it made me angry. She looked like she'd won a lottery.
"I'm tired," I said, not stopping.
"This won't take long," my father said. But his tone wasn't asking. It was ordering.
I turned around slowly. My hands were shaking with anger.
"What's that?" I pointed at the paper in his hand.
"Our insurance policy," he said.
"I haven't signed anything yet."
"You will."
"What if I don't?"
My father's eyes turned cold. The same look he got right before he banished someone from the pack.
"Then we have a problem."
Victoria stepped forward. "Cade, honey, I know this is all happening fast, but..."
"Don't call me honey," I yelled.
