Orion opened his mouth to reply Calista's "What?" But his phone's ringing beat him to it. He sighed, waving his hand at her face. "Just go."
Calista shook her head, "You have to tell me what you mean by this not working?" She held his arm, pulling him back as he tried to walk towards his desk to answer the ringing phone.
"Just go!" He yanked him arm and raised his voice, she scoffed and left him alone.
"If he wanted me gone, perhaps leaving is best at this point." She muttered, slamming the door behind her.
She grumpily walked up the stairs, "Stupid man, thinking he can step all over me, for what? I had a life before you, and I damn well won't put it on hold because of you." She continued to rant to herself.
Back at Orion's home office, he held his phone in his hands, contemplating whether or not to pick his father's call, in the end he sighed and decided to hear what the man has to say.
"Father." He answered, voice low and deep.
