Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

After placing the photo back into the album, Adrian realized that the apartment wasn't bought by his parents. He took off his watch and put it back as it was, then quickly exited the room and pressed the button at the bottom of the closet to close the room again. After that, he went out and sat on the sofa.

"Okay, so now the situation is, I'm living in someone else's house. Even though this apartment is in my name, it still belongs to someone else. What should I do now?" Adrian wondered to himself.

As he was deep in thought, suddenly "knock... knock... knock," the door to his apartment unit was knocked. Adrian stood up and opened the door. Behind the door was a short man, neatly dressed in a shirt and wearing an ID badge that read "building management."

"Excuse me, are you Mr. Adrian?" the man asked.

"Yes, that's right, sir. What can I help you with?" Adrian asked.

"I'm here to deliver the deed of gift that has been finalized by our notary, please," the man said, handing Adrian a book.

"Oh, thank you, sir," Adrian replied.

The man excused himself and walked towards the elevator. Adrian closed the door and walked back to the sofa. After sitting down, he opened the deed he had just received to read it. It turned out the deed contained a gift from Mr. Jimmy Cahyadi to Adrian Miller based on a will. Adrian opened the back page. Besides seeing the notary's signature, he also saw the signatures of two witnesses.

"Hmm... asking the notary is impossible; he won't answer, according to what I've read. But these two witnesses," Adrian mused.

Adrian read the names written in small letters below the signatures: the first witness was Davin Kristianto and the second witness was Grace Kristianto. Adrian remembered he had read the name Grace Kristianto before. He immediately stood up and walked into the room. He opened the drawer where he kept all his files. He took out the white envelope containing his new school's registration summary and receipt.

Inside the envelope was also a school brochure that he had previously ignored. He opened the brochure, and there was an introduction from the foundation chairman; the signature below the introduction was Grace Kristianto. Adrian immediately closed his drawer and took his school brochure. He changed his clothes and left the room, grabbing his deed of gift, which he then put into his backpack.

"It's true that school is still three days away, but I can still go now and meet the foundation chairman. I have to ask about this apartment," Adrian thought to himself as he put on his shoes.

After going out and locking the door, Adrian immediately ran to the elevator to go downstairs and order an online motorcycle taxi to his school.

Meanwhile, next door, Elsa, who had just woken up, sat on her bed. Her head was still swaying, and her eyes were still closed.

"What's going on next door? Already noisy in the morning, I can hear it so clearly," Elsa muttered.

She opened her eyes and rubbed them, then she picked up her smartphone and leaned against the wall, her fingers dancing nimbly across the smartphone screen. "Slam," the next-door door was heard closing. Elsa was a little startled because for her, the sound was very loud. "Thud," Elsa hit the wall behind her bed.

"Just startled me," Elsa said.

Suddenly, "creak," she felt herself spinning. She turned to see her wall rotating, then "thunk," Elsa's eyes suddenly widened because she was in Adrian's living room with her bed.

"Huh... what is this?" Elsa asked, still in her pajamas, panicking.

Elsa immediately put down her smartphone and turned around. She groped the wall in front of her, looking for a way to get back to her room.

"Oh dear... oh dear... why is this happening? How is this possible? I'm next door... what do I do?" Elsa asked, panicking.

She took a breath and tried to calm down, but because the scenery in front of her was different and she felt that the apartment unit belonged to someone else, Elsa couldn't calm down. She turned back and examined her wall.

"Think, think, what did I do just now that made this turn (thinking) oh right," Elsa said.

"Thump... thump... thump thump," she started hitting the wall but nothing happened. Elsa panicked even more. She kept hitting the wall until she finally tired herself out.

"Okay, that means I'll wait for him to come home then apologize, but I'm embarrassed... I'm wearing pajamas and no underwear... what do I do?" Elsa wondered.

She tried to find another way. She got off the bed and crawled towards the door, then she opened the door, but "click," the door was locked from the outside. Elsa sat back down and crawled inside. She turned to look at the bathroom, which was slightly more forward than it should be. Elsa stopped and pondered,

"Why is it strange? It's not like my unit, but my unit is the next room near the window that juts forward... Oh, I need to find a way home first, this is someone else's house," Elsa thought to herself.

She crawled back to her bed. She checked under the bed and pulled open her bedspread after getting on top of it. Finally, Elsa got down again and crawled to Adrian's bedroom door.

"Sorry, really sorry," Elsa said.

She reached up and pulled the doorknob. "Creak," the door opened, and Elsa went inside. She saw the furniture arrangement in Adrian's room was the same as hers. She crawled towards the table and climbed onto the chair.

"Oh dear, what am I doing? Why did I even go into his room?" Elsa muttered.

While confused, Elsa realized something. She saw a closet different from hers in the room. She got off the chair and opened the closet. She saw a high school uniform hanging on the inside of the door.

"Oh... he's in high school too," Elsa said.

After that, her hand tried to reach the shelf above. Suddenly, "click," "creak," the closet immediately shifted. Elsa immediately crawled back in surprise. "Blare," when the lights in the room came on, Elsa immediately covered her mouth with both hands so she wouldn't scream. Her eyes widened, seeing many weapons hanging on the wall. She also saw a shelf on the left with many mannequins wearing wigs.

"What does this person do for a living? Don't tell me he's a criminal," Elsa said, starting to get scared.

However, her strong curiosity and desire to know overcame her fear. She crawled into the room and saw various things inside. She saw a watch in a box, but being uninterested, she didn't take it. She got onto a chair in front of the table and saw a photo album lying on the table.

Elsa opened the album and looked at the photos inside. She found something strange in the first photos she saw.

"This is... not a photo... it's a small painting, but it's amazing, like a photo. And this medieval European style (she looked at a photo showing a hero and a royal princess couple)... Wait, in this upper corner... it's not a bird but a dragon? Eh... the background of these paintings isn't on Earth?" Elsa wondered to herself, starting to get interested.

Elsa continued looking through the next photos. She started following the photos of a young couple from childhood until they grew up and got married. When she opened the last page, she saw a funeral photo of a woman already in a coffin, with her husband sitting beside her, bowing his head. Elsa squinted, carefully observing the face of the woman lying in the coffin.

"Huaaah!"

Elsa threw the album onto the table, realizing that the woman in the coffin was Irene. Her face immediately became frightened.

"That... that's... Auntie... Auntie Irene," Elsa said.

After that, Elsa picked up the album again and got off the chair. "Thump," in her hurry, Elsa fell face down on the floor. A photo floated down right in front of her face. She immediately picked it up and saw a photo of a middle-aged couple in traditional Javanese attire. She immediately knew that the wife sitting on the throne-like chair was Irene. Her eyes immediately glanced at the middle-aged man standing beside her.

Unconsciously, tears flowed from her eyes. She wiped her tears with her arm, then smiled, looking at the photo she was holding.

"So this is Auntie Irene's husband. Hello, Uncle. Auntie's heart is with me, Uncle. Where are you, Uncle?" Elsa said.
