Chapter 6 - Andrew's Life At Work.

A man walked toward Andrew at the bar, clearly an alpha.

"Excuse me"

He said, grinning like an idiot while leaning over the bar. Andrew stiffened, clearly uncomfortable.

"Hey... would you like a drink?"

"Are you open-minded?"

"Excuse me?"

"Do you live alone?"

He took Andrew's hand and kissed the back of his palm.

"Okay, dude, hands off-and no, I don't live alone!"

Andrew's coworker, Kai, stepped outside the storage area where they kept the drinks.

"Dude... bwhaaaahaaaha, the people you attract."

Kai laughed.

"Ugh, tell me about it."

Andrew muttered. Before they could continue, a lady walked in.

"Hey, cutie!"

She said, her voice cheerful. Without even looking at her, Andrew quickly replied.

"Ughh... pass."

The lady laughed uncontrollably.

"Omg, who made our cutie pie this upset?"

Andrew quickly recognized her. It was Luna, his boss at the bar and a friend.

"I'm definitely not slacking off. See? I was just getting back to work."

Kai quickly explained. Luna shrugged.

"Chill, I'm not here as your boss today. I came for a drink."

Kai muttered under his breath.

"Drinking at your own bar... real convenient."

Unfortunately, Luna heard him.

"Yes, it is convenient."

She said sharply, glaring at him, making Kai visibly uncomfortable. He cleared his throat and tugged at Andrew's shirt, urging him to change the subject. Andrew took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.

"Okay... guys, cool. I've got some serious news."

"Who's troubling our cutie pie? I noticed you were upset."

Luna asked.

"That's wasn't why I was upset, a certain person just ruined my mood, that's all, the real deal is my dad... got me engaged."

Andrew blurted out. Luna choked on the drink Andrew had poured, and Kai spilled the cocktail he was mixing.

"What?"

They asked in unison, eyes wide. Andrew ran a hand through his hair, cheeks warming.

"Yeah... it's true. My dad just... decided. Apparently,he's going to die soon and he wants to see his grandchildren before then."

Luna blinked, then smirked.

"Whoa... that's sudden. Congrats, cutie pie, I guess?"

Kai said grinning.

"Dude, your life's a full-on drama."

Andrew groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Tell me about it. I-wow. Totally fine, totally okay... no panic here... totally."

Luna laughed softly, shaking her head.

"You make the flustered look very cute, Andrew."

Andrew groaned again, wishing the floor would open up and swallow him whole. Meanwhile, Kai snorted quietly, clearly enjoying the chaos. And so, amidst spilled drinks, sarcastic looks, and Andrew's embarrassed muttering, the bar hummed with a new energy-the kind only a single, unexpected announcement could bring. Andrew leaned against the bar, arms crossed, a tight line forming on his lips as Luna and Kai zeroed in like curious predators.

"Come on, Andrew."

Luna said, leaning forward, voice teasing.

"You have to spill, who's the lucky person."

Kai grinned, twirling a cocktail stirrer.

"Yeah, cutie pie, don't keep us in suspense!"

Andrew pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Really? You both want me to talk about... this mess?"

"Oh, we can handle it."

Luna said, smirking.

"Try us."

Kai leaned closer, excitement gleaming.

"Do it, cutie. We're ready."

Andrew groaned, leaning heavily on the bar, muttering under his breath.

"Ready or not... here comes chaos."

He straightened, voice loud enough for them to catch every syllable.

"She's... an heiress. One of the richest in the AOB company. Like... terrifyingly rich. Her family could buy this bar and still have money left over for a small moon. And somehow... she agreed to be engaged to me."

For a moment, Luna and Kai were silent. Then Kai's jaw dropped.

"Wait... the AOB company? The one everyone whispers about?"

"Yes. That AOB company."

Andrew said, rubbing his forehead.

"And now I'm probably stuck in the middle of... everything. Meetings, high-society chaos, family expectations. And she's... Tina. Sharp as a knife, platinum hair, ice-blue eyes... scary-smart, scary-precise... and somehow... completely oblivious to my stress."

Luna's eyes went wide.

"Andrew... you're engaged to her?!"

Andrew exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair.

"Yeah. I'm officially... trapped. Cutie pie trapped. Totally consumed by the insanity of it all."

Kai laughed nervously.

"Dude... you look stressed just telling us this."

"I am stressed."

Andrew muttered.

"Imagine trying to act like a normal person when your fiancée is a heiress, and... basically a walking storm of authority and charm."

Luna leaned back, teasing.

"Ohhh... so the cutie pie has a little meltdown. Tell me, does she know how frazzled you are yet?"

Andrew's smirk twisted, half-amused, half-exasperated.

"No. She's like oblivious to everything or just acts dumb but I refuse to fall for that act."

Kai shook his head.

"Wow... engaged and terrified. That's a combo."

Andrew let out a dry laugh.

"Yeah. No. I'm not terrified,my life just got hijacked by a platinum-haired whirlwind, and I'm... coping. Barely."

Luna and Kai exchanged a glance.

"You're... oddly adorable while panicking."

Andrew gave them a tight-lipped grin.

"Thanks, I guess. Now... pour me a drink before I implode."

Luna smirked, leaning on the bar, voice dripping with mischief.

"Andrew... imagine if Tina walked in right now. You, panicking. Us, laughing at you. What do you think she'd do?"

Andrew's eyes widened, a groan escaping his lips.

"Don't... don't even joke about that, she'll probably shove me into her super expensive electric Rolls Royce spectre or attack me with her judging Koala."

Kai chuckled, slapping the bar.

"Ohhh... poor cutie pie. Frazzled AND terrified. This is entertainment gold!"

Andrew rubbed his temples, muttering under his breath.

"Entertainment gold... my life is not supposed to be a show..."

Luna leaned closer, tilting her head, voice playful but sharp.

"You know... we could totally set it up. She walks in, sees you like this... and then you have to explain why you look like you just survived a storm."

Andrew blinked, horrified.

"No. Absolutely not. Do you hear yourselves? I will not be made fun of by Tina and you... it's not a good look. I... I'm a professional. A bartender with dignity!"

Kai grinned wickedly.

"Professional? Right. Because the 'engaged to ABO heiress' look screams professional, Andrew."

Andrew groaned, burying his face in his hands.

"Why did this have to happen to me... why am I alive right now... why is my life a walking disaster... why-"

Luna interrupted, patting his shoulder.

"Shhh, cutie pie. Breathe. It's fine. You survived getting engaged, you can survive a little teasing from us."

Andrew peeked through his fingers, voice muffled but full of exasperation.

"Barely... and if she knew, she'd... she'd..."

Kai laughed, leaning back.

"She'd do what exactly?"

Andrew's tone dropped, whispering like it was a state secret.

"Oh you mean other than terrorizing me with her Koala probably ask her Butler to give me a brain freeze with all her Chocolate ice cream."

Luna and Kai exchanged a glance, both grinning wickedly.

"Oh, Andrew... cutie pie... you're so in over your head."

Andrew flopped back into his stool, muttering,

"Yeah. Yep. Totally unbothered... totally... unbothered..."

The bar thrummed with energy, but Andrew was the eye of the storm. Every alpha, beta, and omega seemed magnetically drawn to him, yet he moved with effortless poise, a mischievous grin always ready. A tall alpha sauntered up, leaning lazily over the bar.

"Hey hot sauce, what's a charming guy like you doing all alone?"

Andrew arched a brow, flicking his hair back.

"Alone? Hardly. I have fans... but maybe you could earn a VIP pass."

He poured a drink with flourish, letting the rim of the glass brush against the alpha's hand. The alpha blinked, heat rising in his cheeks. Next, a beta with an overly enthusiastic smile tapped his shoulder.

"You have to tell me your favorite cocktail, I'll order it just for you!"

Andrew smirked, lowering his voice as if sharing a dangerous secret.

"Hmm... only the most charming get to know that. You might want to try harder."

He gave a tiny wink, and the beta's ears burned. From across the bar, a petite omega with sparkling eyes called out.

"Hey handsome, need someone to help you relax?"

She leaned in, voice like honey dripping.

Andrew leaned back, catching her wrist lightly.

"Careful... I bite when people get too handsy."

He chuckled, enjoying the flustered squeak she let out.

"But maybe I'll let it slide... if you're persuasive enough."

Luna, behind the counter snorted, nudging Kai.

"Look at him go... he's loving this."

Andrew tilted his head, eyes scanning the room like a predator with charm as his weapon. Each flirt, wink, and giggle fed him, made his mood brighter. He laughed softly, muttering under his breath.

"Unbothered... totally unbothered... but also... slightly entertained."

An omega perched on a barstool slid closer, lowering her voice.

"You're not even trying to hide how cute you are."

Andrew leaned forward, smirk widening.

"Why hide it when it's fun to watch people squirm?"

One after another, alphas leaned, betas twirled, omegas fluttered but Andrew handled each with a teasing tilt of his head, a flick of his wrist, a soft chuckle. He was experienced, confident, aware, and most importantly having the time of his chaotic little life. And yet... every laugh, every blush, every flustered look couldn't shake the thought of Tina. For the first time, his playful chaos had a soft spot, a tiny crack that Tina unknowingly occupied. The bar thrummed with energy, but Andrew was the eye of the storm. Every alpha, beta, and omega seemed magnetically drawn to him, yet he moved with effortless poise, a mischievous grin always ready.
