Looking at the fervent worship, Herta grew aghast at the sight, unable to comprehend what she saw. What the fuck...?
There he, or rather, 'it', stood (now more man than machine), its many arms raised high in the sky, worshipping Nous, as if it were its lord and saviour. To her and the members of the Genius Club, Nous was just one of the many conduits being used to communicate with the universe's great mysteries. Sure, IT had great control over the path of the future, but hey, at least what it says and does does not conflict with them, nor does IT renege on its debts. They have more of a give-and-take relationship, to say the least...
Not like the moron in front of her
Seeing him worship Nous as if IT were the saviour of all life and creation, with chantings of "Flesh is weak, steel is eternal!" And "The Omnissiah will lead us to a better future!", put a huge burden on Herta's head. Though she did not know why Nous had come to her segment of the universe, she just assumed that he had come for another one of his many 'revelations', this time with her being the recipient.
Haah, doesn't matter. I'll take the revelation– What the fuck!
Unable to comprehend her sight, she rubbed once, twice, and even thrice, for right in front of her, the mechanical abomination that is Belisarius Cawl, suddenly began glowing bright white.
She knew what it meant
What'd you mean IT has chosen that...thing... as the newest member of the Genius Club!? The fuck is going on in here!?
Unable to comprehend the bizarre sight in front of her, she nearly tore out her hair. What happened next just cemented it.
Initially ecstatic, Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl quickly grew despondent once the light wore off. Seeing his gears slowly wind down, Shinji grew concerned, for this situation usually meant something bad was going to happen, and he could not have the Chief Fabricator of Mars (of which persistently claims to be) grow despondent, cause it usually ended disastrously, most of the time ending with them on the short end of the stick!
"Lord Cawl, is everything alright...?"
Looking up, Cawl realised what was happening once he glanced at Shinji and the others. "Oh, nothing has happened. He is not the Omnissiah..."
Seeing them still confused, Belisarius quickly explained what he meant. "As I was being connected to Him, I began my journey through his immense psyche, wanting to wander and peruse the great mysteries of life and machinery of the universe, only to realise something grave. I thought he were the Omnissiah, the great leader of the Machine Spirit that dwelled in all of our creation, but as I continued my journey, I felt it...
I felt His knowledge...feel incomplete!
To me, this is the greatest blasphemy! There is only one Omnissiah, and He is the greatest and most perfect form of intelligence in the entire universe. Not this incomplete monstrosity!"
Seeing him get more and more worked up, Shini realised that if they did not stop his rampage, they would have another repeat of the Great Laceration of M.41 Y.798!
Just when Tigurius was about to unleash his full psykic might to calm the rampaging Technopriest, a large, white-haired man, towering nealry 3 m all, hurriedly march in.
"Men, to arms! We have sightings of a large swarm of what appears to be Tyranids approaching here!"
Damn me and my intuition!
