In the hospital the man read many books. And some books were randomly dropped off by the nursing staff who had seen just how much he Liked to Read. This one fantasy book was Placed on his nightstand by a boy who looked to be in his teens. Its title was Ember & Ashes. A book about a world Called Eshra. On a Continent Called Phycora was 3 kingdoms and a g giant forest called the Delecain forest. The 3 kingdoms were called Baradorna, Which held the Demon nation. Wartarall, that had the Species called the Faye. And Daburg, Which was ruled by the humans. War between the 3 nations just didn't happen. And besides the people who were deep into debt that. couldn't pay back by a specific time, and criminals Who killed, - slaves were otherwise not allowed. Slaves had good treatment throughout the continent because the Kings ruled so Many generations ago. In the ruling they specified that the criminals need a binding slave Contract so they would not kill again, not by themselves or through another.

The book described that the duke's son was the start of the War. He invited the nobles over after being in cahoots with. The Vampire Royalty . the Vampires wanted more land and decided to try to take the human s Land thinking that they were weak. The dukes and his wife were once great warriors, and they had only grown stronger through mock battles and their travels through the lands to the Delecain forest to wipe out monsters that were coming for the farms near the edge. They were sent to battle against the vampires in the Vampire continent and eventually they were slain in a gruesome way. The couple had only one child and while they died, he lived on in regret before finding ancient magic to rewind time and bring back someone from another world. But the condition that she does not go back. He would die around the time he started contacting the vampires without any evidence of his betrayal, the royal family could do nothing to his family.

When Rigel finished the book finally it had been a year in the hospital. He had been reading it for 4 months, and during those 4 months his health was getting worse. He had been talking to the teen that dropped off the book during the time of his breaks from reading it when he finally told the child that he wished he could have helped the family and the entire continent. The boy asked "Are you absolutely certain that you would not change your mind about a wish to help them." "I would want to help him no matter what. Somewhere in that child's life there was miscommunication because of their status as only child of the dukes. His parents didn't know about the pressure he was under by the factions of the princes' so they couldn't do anything, meaning he let the anger and pressure of some evil people convince him that his parents wanted the throne and help from outside forces to get it." Said Rigel as a confirmation. He continues "while I don't condone the methods, I know just how hard high society is on children. I have supported a fair few of the children that visited my wife to be emancipated and a years' worth of wages from their family's businesses to live on their own. I used to check on them when my health was better. They lived without worry , because they trusted an adult to help them. Because of that they now own businesses of their own and donate to the charity my wife started, all because we gave them the most basic help so they could live their best lives." " all right, then I shall grant the wish. The conditions that I was given when I used that ancient magic was that I reincarnate you and you will be reborn on my world. You will take a form that most fits you. I give you a system that will help support you and a production skill so that you can make money when you need" "whah" said Rigel. But the answer he got was an ethereal being standing where the boy once was.

It was then that he knew the story was real. "I PROMISE TO PROTECT YOUR FAMILY LIKE THEY WERE MY OWN" Rigel stated with conviction. "I will hold you too that Rigel Rowan. I love my family and this is what I must do to protect them and prevent a future of horrors for the humans on Phycora. Well met brother. For we will not meet again." with that said he turned into beams of light and entered Rigel's heart. with that having happened. Rigel was slowly losing consciousness. The monitor attached to him. Loud, but getting quieter as time passed.
