Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 — “The Woman in the Screen”

The silence had become unbearable.

Calvin Sahputra stood in the nursery, staring at the soft pink walls and the cradle where his newborn daughter, Lilith Charlene Sahputra, slept peacefully.

Liora had given birth a week ago — the delivery smooth, the media glorifying her as "Calvin's true love" and "a new mother to the Sahputra heir."

But Calvin didn't feel like a new father.

He felt… haunted.

Every smile from Lilith reminded him of the child Fini carried. The one he never got to meet. The one he might never know.

Then — fate intervened.

A Whisper from the Past

It was a rainy evening when Calvin received a private call from Dr. Irwan, the obstetrician who had once treated Fini.

His voice was low. Hesitant.

> "Mr. Calvin... I know I could lose my license for this. But I believe you deserve to know. Miss Fini gave birth… six months ago. She's in Tokyo."

The world tilted.

Calvin's breath caught.

> "She… she had the baby?"

> "Yes. A boy. Healthy. She's been living quietly in a small district in Tokyo."

Silence.

> "I've held this secret too long, Mr. Calvin. You need to see her."

---

The Woman on the Screen

The very next morning, Calvin's fingers shook as he scrolled through his phone. The internet had exploded with a small viral clip — a lifestyle documentary about parenting in Japan.

And there she was.

Fini Aulianna.

Standing in a park, laughing as her child toddled toward her. Dressed in soft beige clothes, her hair tied simply. No makeup. Just… breathtaking.

The camera had caught her from afar. She had no idea she was being filmed.

But Calvin knew. His heart recognized her instantly.

And it shattered him.

The Journey to Tokyo

Calvin left that night.

He told no one. Not even Liora.

He landed in Tokyo in the middle of the night, and with the help of Dr. Irwan's notes, tracked down the apartment tucked between a bakery and an old bookstore.

He stood at the door for twenty minutes.

Hand frozen mid-air.

Then… he knocked.

---

Reunion

The door opened slowly.

And there she was.

Fini.

Holding a small boy with sleepy eyes — Ezra's son. Calvin's stepson. Or… maybe more.

Their eyes locked.

Fini froze.

She clutched her child tighter and whispered in disbelief,

> "Calvin…?"

His voice cracked.

> "I came… to bring you home."

Tears streamed down her cheeks as the child reached out, curious and innocent.

Fini stepped forward, lips trembling.

And without warning—

She threw her arms around Calvin, sobbing into his chest, her body shaking with six months of pain, loneliness, and unspoken love.

> "Why… why did it take you so long?" she whispered.

> "Because I was a coward," he said. "But not anymore."

---

The Quiet After the Storm

They sat on the apartment floor for hours.

Fini told him about Japan, about her escape, about how she thought no one wanted her anymore.

Calvin told her about Lilith. About Liora. About the affair he now regretted more than anything.

They didn't have all the answers.

But for the first time… they were finally together.
