Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 – “Behind Every Peace, A Storm Waits”

For the first time in a long, long time…

The Sahputra Mansion was quiet.

No screaming.

No slammed doors.

No bitter women throwing insults or slaps in the hallway.

Just Fini, Calvin, and Akihiro, sitting on the garden patio, laughing as the little boy chased butterflies.

---

Fixing the Damage

It wasn't just the mansion that needed healing. It was their image.

The media had a field day the moment they returned from Japan:

"Fini Aulianna Returns After Disappearing Post-Scandal!"

"The Love Triangle Ends? Sahputra Couple Seen Holding Hands Again"

"Calvin's Secret Son Revealed After DNA Test"

But Calvin didn't hide anymore.

With Fini beside him, hand in hand, he stood before the press and made a public statement:

> "My wife and I faced storms that nearly destroyed us. But we survived. We have a son, and our priority now is family, healing, and moving forward. Any rumors or stories from the past are just that—past."

The crowd was stunned. Some were skeptical.

But seeing them together—genuine, honest, united—began to shift public perception.

---

Liora's Expulsion

Of course, not everyone celebrated their reunion.

Liora, now a mother to Calvin's daughter Lilith, tried to stay in the mansion. She claimed it was "for the sake of the children."

But Calvin made his decision firm and final.

> "You're not my wife. You were never meant to be. And this house is not yours to claim."

> "You're throwing me out? With your child?" she snapped.

> "I'll provide for Lilith," he replied coldly. "But you—your schemes, your manipulation—they end here."

With no more influence and no allies left, Liora packed her bags.

Her eyes burned with humiliation as she left the mansion gates, whispering bitterly:

> "This isn't over, Fini."

She returned to her family estate, carrying Lilith and a heart full of vengeance.

Two Years Later

Fini and Calvin thrived.

They rebuilt everything—love, trust, even a new home separate from the Sahputra legacy.

They opened a charity for single mothers. Fini published a book. Calvin expanded internationally.

They were finally happy.

But peace never lasts forever.

One rainy morning, a brown envelope arrived at Calvin's office. No return address.

Inside were printed photos… and a USB drive.

Photos of Fini.

In Japan.

With another man.

Shiro Yamanaka.

A successful hotel owner with striking Japanese features, often seen beside Fini in those quiet, hidden months when she was pregnant.

The USB contained a short video clip—grainy, but clear enough:

> Shiro and Fini, sitting closely in a traditional ryokan garden.

Shiro touches her hand.

She doesn't pull away.

Then—Shiro leans in and kisses her cheek.

Fini smiles softly.

Calvin's face paled.

His hands trembled slightly.

> "What is this?" he muttered, rewinding the video again and again. "Was this… was this real?"

He didn't confront Fini immediately.

Instead, he sat in his office late into the night, the storm outside matching the one inside his chest.

> "Did you love him, Fini?" he whispered to no one.

"Was he there for you… in a way I never was?"
