Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 – “Truth, Fire, and the Return”

Liora had a bad feeling.

She had called Calvin's phone five times. Each time, it rang and then went to voicemail. The staff at the mansion had been instructed not to answer any questions. His driver refused to speak. His secretary said Calvin was on "personal leave."

But Liora wasn't stupid.

One of the staff had slipped—just one sentence—enough to fuel her suspicion.

> "He left the country. Quietly. To Japan."

Her heart dropped.

Japan.

Only one reason would take him there.

Fini.

She screamed and shattered a glass.

Tokyo – One Week of Hidden Heaven

While Liora raged, across the ocean… Fini and Calvin were experiencing something they hadn't felt in what seemed like forever.

Peace.

For one week, they lived like a real family. Their son, a chubby-cheeked, bright-eyed little boy named Akihiro, clung to both of them.

Calvin carried Akihiro on his shoulders during cherry blossom walks. Fini cooked breakfast every morning, laughing when Calvin stole bites.

And at night… they weren't just co-parents or estranged lovers.

They were husband and wife again.

> "You never stopped being mine," Calvin whispered one night, pulling Fini close in the candlelight.

"Then prove it," she said, breathless—before their lips crashed together, hungry and aching.

They made love like people who had lost each other in another life and were reborn.

---

The Truth Revealed

The night before they returned to Indonesia, Fini sat Calvin down with a small envelope.

Her hands shook slightly.

> "This is the DNA result," she said. "I… I didn't tell you before because I wasn't sure how you'd react."

Calvin opened it slowly.

His eyes widened.

> 99.98% Paternal Match: Calvin Sahputra

He looked at her.

Looked at Akihiro.

Then dropped to his knees in front of them both.

> "He's my son?" he choked. "Fini… you gave me a son?"

Tears streamed down Fini's face as she nodded.

> "I was too scared. Too tired of everything. I didn't want to fight anymore."

Calvin stood and hugged them both tightly, his heart finally feeling full.

> "We'll go home. As a family. I'll protect you this time. No more lies. No more other women. Only you, Fini. Forever."

---

The Return

The black luxury car rolled up to the Sahputra Mansion gates.

Security opened them with hesitation.

And there she was—Liora, standing at the entrance in a flawless designer dress, holding baby Lilith in her arms.

Her smile was stiff, fake.

She looked up, expecting Calvin to be alone.

But when she saw Fini step out of the car, holding Erian, her eyes went wide.

Her jaw clenched when Calvin stepped out next, walking to Fini's side, putting his hand on her back — gently, protectively.

> "Welcome back," Liora said tightly. "Had a nice... vacation?"

Fini didn't answer.

Calvin did.

> "Liora, this is my wife. That is my son. We're home. And things are going to change."

Liora's face twisted.

> "What about your daughter? About me?"

> "I'll provide for Lilith. She's my blood. But you and I…" —he looked at her, finally calm— "we were a mistake."

Tears filled Liora's eyes—but not of heartbreak.

Of fury.

She wasn't done yet.

Not even close.
