The woman nodded her head, and soon she narrowed her eyes to see the burn on Edward's neck. The woman bravely moved closer to Edward, inspecting the wound more closely.
With that position, Edward could see the woman's neck. Making him desperately hold back from biting her.
"Your neck is hurt! How can you say it's okay? What happened to you?"
"I... I'm just allergic to sunlight," his alibi with a flat face. A little distance from the woman.
"Strange," the woman mumbled. She wanted to leave Edward there, but his human soul couldn't bear to see someone in pain like that.
"What if I treat your wound? Looks like it will be worse if not treated," said the woman again.
Edward was silent, he smiled faintly. He didn't have to bother looking for her, and now his mission was to get close to her.
"What's your name?" Edward asked still with a straight face.
The woman was seen patting her forehead lightly, how could she forget to introduce herself. Even though he had been talking non-stop. The woman happily stretched out her hand, then said, "My name is Evelyn Calista."
Edward didn't return the handshake, he just glanced at her. "I'm Edward Victor," he replied, looking away. In fact, he never interacted directly with women other than his mother, let alone chatting and shaking hands.
Evelyn took a deep breath, Edward's attitude just now made her think that the man was arrogant. "He's so arrogant," she mumbled softly, pulling her hand back.
"What did you say?"
Evelyn forced a smile, crossed her arms in an 'X' shape then replied, "No, I didn't say anything. Okay, come with me. I'll treat your wound," she replied pulling Edward's black robe without permission.
As if hypnotized by the woman's soft voice, Edward walked after Evelyn.
Here they are, in a beautiful garden with various colorful flowers decorating the garden. Many people pass by to spend time there. Evelyn invited Edward to sit on a wooden chair, then she took out a plastic bag containing medicine for Edward's wound.
Evelyn bought the medicine with Edward while walking towards the park earlier. The woman also had to pay for it, because when Evelyn asked Edward about money. Instead Edward replied 'Money? What is money?', in the vampire world no one has money. All they had was power, after all Edward was a pure vampire. So it's natural that he doesn't really understand what human life is like.
"Can you bend down a bit, I'll be easier to apply this medicine to you," Evelyn said.
Edward furrowed his brow in confusion, he didn't understand what all those things were for. Usually if he was injured, his mother would quickly heal him using her magic power.
"What's that? What's that thing for?" Edward asked raising an eyebrow.
"Have you never seen it?"
Edward shook his head, he had never met such an object.
A sigh came from Evelyn's mouth. "Where are you from? You don't know how to cook medicine like this," she said in surprise, her hands still busy applying the cream to the burns on Edward's neck.
"I'm not human," Edward said without thinking.
Suddenly Evelyn stopped her hand, her blue eyes stared at Edward intensely. After a while, the woman laughed. "Gosh, what are you saying? Are you an angel? Or maybe a mermaid? Or are you a demon?" her teasing was still accompanied by a crisp laugh.
Edward looked back at Evelyn flatly, if only Evelyn wasn't a woman. Edward would definitely kill her right now for daring to insult and laugh at her. But this time he just took a deep breath.
"Forget it," he said simply.
Evelyn just nodded in response, then resumed her delayed activities.
After a few minutes had passed, Evelyn finished treating the burns on Edward's neck. She packed all his things.
"Okay, I'll go first. Get well soon," said Evelyn with a smile, then she got up from her seat.
While Edward was still silent in his place, he just looked at Evelyn who started to walk away. Edward didn't know what to do anymore, until his father's voice was heard again.
'You're stupid! Edward, I told you to approach that woman. Why are you still sitting there?'
Edward closed his eyes, then spoke to himself. 'How?'
'Chase him, follow him wherever he goes!'
After that Edward slowly opened his eyes without replying to his father's words again, he and his father did often communicate via telepathy. Edward rose from his seat, then sped like a gust of wind after Evelyn as his father said.
On one hand, Evelyn was initially walking leisurely down the deserted street. But after a while, she felt someone was following him. Every time Evelyn turned around, there was no one behind her. It made him shudder in horror, and quicken his footsteps.
"Why do I feel like someone is following me? But who?" Evelyn muttered.
While the one following Evelyn was Edward, he walked quietly behind Evelyn. Every time the woman turned around, Edward would immediately dart as fast as lightning to hide.
Evelyn who was starting to get restless, now ran occasionally looking back. Unknowingly, as she looked back. There was a rock in front of her, making her fall.
"Awss... It hurts," Evelyn groaned feeling her elbow hurt and bleeding.
The blood that came out of Evelyn's elbow was suddenly smelled by Edward's sense of smell, the vampire hiding behind the tree groaned to stop himself from sucking it. Its red irises seemed to glow with fangs sticking out. Edward felt an aura that was different from normal humans, the desire to suck blood was getting bigger because he remembered it was holy blood.
"Arghh... I have to restrain myself," said Edward, sticking his nails in the tree beside him.
Edward sniffed once more, he smelled a very strong smell of Evelyn's blood. This time Edward couldn't hold himself back anymore.
"Damn it! I can't hold it in anymore," he smirked showing his two sharp fangs. A second later he shot like a flash of light away from hiding.
