†Noca's POV†
My eyes and attention were fixated on the list of candidates for the Luna Selection from each house of my court. Every head of house had chosen one of their daughters to represent them at the upcoming ceremony.
I still couldn't believe I was doing this. Taking a Luna had never been part of my plans. Not even the relentless pressure from my council had ever moved me before. But now, because of the boy and the bond I was desperately trying to escape, I had no choice. To avoid being seen as a hypocritical Alpha who enforced laws he couldn't obey, I had to bend somewhere. And the easiest compromise to make was the one I had always refused, the Luna I had sworn never to take.
The Luna who would emerge after these selections.
Even if she turned out to be my Beta's daughter who was being backed by House Tharrion, I would not care. As long as the boy was gone. As long as he was erased from my world.
