Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Jewel Shards

(Naraku's POV)

"Kikyo, good as gave me this body herself... So why am I carrying this injured girl instead of her?" Naraku, who was flying through the sky, wonders as he looks down at (Y/N).

"Why... Do I feel drawn to this Mortal?" Naraku asks, but then looks back up with an annoyed expression.

( (Y/N)'s POV)

I wake up in a futon, and I go to get up, but I am unable to.

"Ow..." I trail off as pain rushes all through my body, causing me to fall back down. Looking around the room, but then spot a man with long black hair in a pony tail along with red eyes that glowed in the darkness standing there in a kimono. "Who is he?" I wonder with a confused expression as I stared at him for a moment.

"Who are you and where am I?" I ask with a worried expression.

"I'm Naraku, and you're at my castle. You're unable to move thanks to the injuries you sustained." The red-eyed man explains as he sits down next to the window, causing my eyes to widen as I look up at the ceiling. "Naraku? A castle? Wait, more importantly, I'm injured?!" I wonder as I look over at him.

"I-I'm injured... D-did you save me?" I asked with a confused expression, causing his eyes to narrow down at me, and it was silent for a moment, but then he put on a slight smile.

"Yes, I found you in the middle of the woods unconscious and brought you to my castle. However, it seems as if you don't remember any of it." Naraku informs, and I put on a confused expression as I go silent for a moment, trying to remember anything, but nothing was coming to mind.

"Great, I can't remember my own name and can't even freaking move!" I state as I let out a sigh.

"You said you're name was (Y/N), but unfortunately, I don't know any other details. However, I can help you with you're injuries if you'd like?" Naraku questions. "I may have lost my memory, but I'm not stupid." I think as I narrow my eyes at him.

"What do you want in return?" I ask, and Naraku's eyes widen a bit. Suddenly pulling out a pink crystal from his Kimono, Naraku holds it out.

"This is a mere shard of the Sacred Jewel that is scattered across this world. In return for helping you, I hope you will help me find them." Naraku answers, and I stare up at the ceiling for a moment. "I'm practically paralyzed, so I don't really have a choice." I think as I then nod.

"You saved me. It's only right that I help you find you're shards." I state, causing Naraku to scoot closer to me.

"I'm going to lift you." Naraku insists, and I nod, causing him to place his hand on my shoulder and slowly lift me as I groan thanks to all the pain accumulating in my back. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, the pain was gone, and my eyes widened as I looked over at him.

"There's no more pain, it's a miracle." I declare, and he nods.

"It'd be better if you rested for now." Naraku points out, but I slightly shake my head with a smile and begin stretching my body.

"There's no way I can just lie around now. Do you know where any shards are now?" I ask, causing Naraku to chuckle.

"You are a strange one... Yes, I do know of one.

(To Songo)

Well, wouldn't you say those two have been acting strange?" Songo asked as Kirara was sitting on her lap.

"Yep," Miroku answers.

"We should be going after (Y/N)!" Shippo declares as they all look over to see Kagome walking over to Inuyasha.

"Hey, Inuyasha. Hello?!" Kagome calls out, causing him to turn to her.

"What?" Inuyasha asks, causing her to put on an annoyed expression.

"I get that you're all mopey, causing Kikyo to disappear. But let's go, we have to save my cousin. It's still early, they can't have gone far!" Kagome answer,s causing Inuyasha to look away from her, but Miroku then puts his foot on Inuyasha's head.

"Stop being such a stubborn fool," Miroku adds as he knocks Inuyasha over.

"You must have forgotten who it was who kidnapped (Y/N). Other than getting her back, I want my own revenge. I wouldn't even have this hole in my right hand if it weren't for Naraku." Miroku explains.

"He's an enemy to all of us, and he's even kidnapped a member of Kagome's family as well as this group now." Songo points out.

"Yeah, Songo's right!" Shippo bellows as Kagome bends down to Inuyasha.

"Look, we all know what happened between you and Kikyo, but you can't go sneaking off behind our back to go after him when my cousin's very life could be in danger, right now," Kagome explains, causing Inuyasha to jump up.

"I don't sneak around, ok?! I've never snuck in my life!" Inuyasha shouts.

"Inuyasha, over there!" Miroku calls out they all look over to see Naraku's insects.

"They're even closer than we thought," Kagome states as Songo stands up.

"Then we'd better get going! Songo shouts

(Time skip)

Inuyasha and Miroku were on foot, while Songo, Shippo, and Kagome were on Kirara.

"Not that I'm complaining or anything, Kagome, but why aren't you with Inuyasha?" Songo asks, glancing back at her.

"I, um..." Kagome trails off as she begins blushing and holding her face.

"What's wrong with Kagome?" Shippo questions, looking back at her.

"I don't know, don't ask me," Songo responds as they continue following the insects, but then more begin to appear.

"Look, more of Naraku's insects." Songo points out, but then smoke begins to appear.

"Look out, it's a trap!" Songo warns.

"Be careful!" Kagome shouts, but it is too late as they begin to enter the mist.

(To me)

I was standing in a tree as I glanced over to see a guy with a baboon outfit next to me, but I couldn't feel his presence.

"What is this thing around us?" I ask, causing the dude to look over at me.

"This is a barrier; no one will harm either of us if we're in it," the familiar voice answers, causing my eyes to widen.

"You sound like Naraku, but you can't be... Naraku had a presence." I state, and the dude nods.

"I am but a puppet of Naraku; however, I am very much able to assist you." The puppet declares, and I let out a sigh.

"So that's it..." I trail off as I sit down on the tree. "Naraku is a demon, that much I'm sure of... So why did he help a human like me?" I wonder as I stare over at the puppet.

"You're target will be arriving soon." The puppet informs, and I nod.

(To Kagome)

"Where could everyone have gone off to?" Kagome asks as she then steps on something, causing her to look down to see the vines moving around.

"Ew! What's that?!" Kagome exclaims as she moves her foot, causing the vines to move around even more. Beginning to scream, she hits the vines with her bow, causing them to get away from her.

(To me)

"The stage has been set for you." The puppet insists, causing me to turn to him with a cold expression.

"Buzz off," I state, causing it to turn to me.

"What?" The puppet asks as I glare at it.

"I will be fine by myself, leave," I answer, and it goes quiet for a moment.

"Fine, call if you need me." The puppet advises and then disappears, taking his barrier with him. "I don't need a watcher or a helper for getting a Jewel Shard." I think as I feel a presence drawing closer.

"(Y/N)?" A voice asks, causing me to look over to see a girl with black hair and what looks like a school uniform. "I don't know how she knows my name, but I can't trust her." I think as the girl then smiles.

(Y/N) You're okay, (Y/N)!" The girl calls out as I hold up a small knife.

"We've been so worried about you." The girl informs with a worried expression, but I throw it towards her, grazing her cheek, and it lands in the ground behind her. Suddenly, a large pit begins forming behind her.

"Stop talking as if you know me," I demand as I walk over to her, but she shakes her head.

"I do know you. I'm you're cousin Kagome, we're family." Kagome points out as I stare at her for a moment.

"Family, huh? Well, unfortunately, I have no memory of such a family or you for that matter." I explain as Kagome puts on a worried expression.

"What has Naraku done to you?" Kagome questions, and I scoff.

"Done to me?!" He saved me." I respond, and her eyes widen as I grab the large Jewel Shard from her neck.

"(Y/N)?" Kagome asks, but I then smirk.

"Why don't we test you're theory... If I feel sorry about this, then you might be telling the truth." I answer as I push her off the cliff into the pit behind her. As I watched her fall into the pit, nothing filled my head or my heart, causing me to roll my eyes as I turned away and began walking back over to the tree.

"Are you ready to return?" The puppet asks as I jump up to the tree and sit down.

"Nah, I feel like if I stay I'll get to see a real treat," I answer as I cross my legs. "I want to see if she'll come back up from that pit, and I have a hunch she will." I think as I stare at the pit with a smirk.

(To Kagome)

She was at the bottom of the pit, unconscious, when the sound of Inuyasha's voice caused her to wake up.

"Inu-yasha," Kagome says as she slowly sits up.

"Kagome." Inuyasha rushes over to her and helps her up.

"Those roots cause some kind of illusion, it seems like you got away from it okay though," Inuyasha informs, and she nods. Helping her up, Inuyasha grabs her and jumps up to the cliff, but Kagome then looks up to see I was still here and jumps down from where I was sitting.

"(Y/N), those are Kagome's Jewel Shards... Kagome." Inuyasha looks down to see her breathing heavy, and I smirk.

"Hm, you seem to know my name, too. However, as you see, Kagome. I feel no remorse, so how could I know you were telling me the truth if I have no memories of you or this dog boy, who came to you're rescue." I explain, causing Inuyasha to glare at me.

"What the hell is wrong with you, and what did you do to Kagome?!" Inuyasha exclaims, causing me to glance over at him.

"She was spouting nonsense about us being related, and I thought, well, why not test it. I couldn't hurt her if she was really my family, right?" I ask, but then begin laughing. I look back over at Kagome as the puppet appears beside me.

"If you don't have proof, then don't spout such useless accusations," I answer as the puppet picks me up, as Inuyasha draws his sword, and it transforms.

"Naraku, you bastard!" Inuyasha calls out as he goes racing towards us and goes to slash at us, but he's forced back thanks to the barrier around us.

"Everything that happened between Kagome and (Y/N), I had nothing to do with." The puppet made known as he picks me up and we lift up into the sky, while beginning to head in the direction of the castle. I glance back at the dog boy and Kagome, but there is still no feeling or memories causing me to scoff.

"You did well." The puppet compliments, and I roll my eyes.

"I wasn't trying to please you..." I trail off as I stare in front of us. "I'm sure I'll be seeing them a lot more... That dog boy really doesn't like Naraku, but maybe that's just how demons are." I think as I begin to see the castle come into view. We touchdown in the space below, and I let out a sigh as I begin walking into the castle.

"You seem to have had fun." Naraku points out, and I put on a confused expression as I walked into the room.

"I don't know if you can call trying to kill people fun... I guess maybe for a half-demon, but it was more annoying than anything." I state as I walk over and place the Jewel in his hand.

"Half-Demon?" Naraku questions as he glares up at me.

"Oh, oops. Didn't mean to be rude, I just guessed, feeling that Dog-Boys' presence and yours, and what other reason would you need the Sacred Jewel shards as if not to grant a wish?" I ask, causing Naraku to let out a sigh.

"You're probably tired... Take her to her room." Naraku instructs as I look over to see the puppet standing there, and let out a yawn.

"Whelp, I guess I'd better get some sleep, while I can." I proclaim as I walk over to the puppet, and it begins to show me to my room as it was ordered.

(To Naraku POV)

"She figured it out thanks to my presence," Naraku says as he takes off his shirt and glares at his back. "It's appeared again, no matter how often I change flesh. The burn scars of the fugitive Onigumo will not leave my back." Naraku thinks as he looks out the window with an annoyed expression.

"This mortal is quite intriguing though..." Naraku trails off as he stares at the Shikon jewel fragments in his hand.
