Chapter 21 - Going somewhere?

The hair at the nape of my neck stood on end, and goosebumps spread on my skin. It wasn't due to the cold. No, it absolutely had nothing to do with it. I was in one of Atlas's sweatshirts even though he had warned me not to touch his stuff. It wasn't as if I had any clothes I could wear, and I couldn't walk around the pack house naked.

Again, in his closet, I was lucky enough to see leggings that were thick enough to ward off the cold.

It was those eyes. Those familiar eyes that stayed at a distance, following me around the pack house. They were Atlas' guards, and it was his doing.

After our encounter in the garden when he told me he'd kill me, the next morning, he had placed two guards in front of my door. As if that wasn't enough, another two were present in the hallway just before the exit door, and two others followed me about like they were jobless and had nothing else to do.
