ARIA
I hit the tree trunk, the bark pressing hard through my sweatshirt. It jabbed into my back, and I gasped, feeling a rib or two crack. I stared at Atlas dazedly, a high-pitched ringing filled my ears, and darkness crept into my sight, blurring my vision.
"W-what…did you do that for?" I slurred, attempting to stand, but I slid down the length of the tree's trunk. Nausea churned in my stomach, I took in two deep breaths, and I closed my eyes briefly before opening them once more.
"Don't," He rasped, as I tried to stand for the second time.
I wanted to ask him why and the reason he had shoved me in that manner, but I realised he wasn't looking at me. His eyes were trained on something else.
I shifted, blinking against the shadows still clinging to my vision. A few feet from where I was sprawled, a massive wolf with midnight black fur barely visible in the moonlight materialized. My eyes flew wide, and an inaudible scream spilled out of my mouth.
