"Crack… click."
Just as Captain Rogers pondered Allens' earlier words, a sharp, crisp sound of bones snapping jolted him to attention. The noise, sharp like exploding beans, made Rogers instantly accelerate his focus.
After passing through two shattered walls, Rogers witnessed a scene that shocked and horrified him simultaneously.
Allens, who had been lying on the ground moments before, was undergoing a wild metamorphosis.
Beside him lay a separated corpse—the Fury warrior he had brought along—lying still on the ground, skull exposed.
"Shit… what happened?"
Even Captain Rogers, who had seen countless deaths, was taken aback. He had never encountered a death like this, with the skull separated and brain exposed.
Meanwhile, Allens' body was growing at an alarming rate. His originally frail frame expanded rapidly. Within moments, he reached 1.9 meters in height. His chest swelled, his six-pack abdominal muscles appeared, and his limb muscles bulged dramatically.
"Crack… click."
Allens' transformation proceeded at a pace visible to the naked eye. Rogers could clearly hear bones snapping like bursting beans. His clothes tore instantly under the expanding muscles, and his pants shredded into shorts.
"This kid… is his body evolving?"
Rogers, usually calm and composed, felt a storm inside. He realized he had severely underestimated Allens.
If Allens truly possessed the ability to absorb and evolve powers, then, though currently weak, he could eventually become a being capable of surpassing even Thanos.
"Is this what it feels like to be brimming with power? And this… is just a weakened version of the Super Soldier Serum."
Allens clenched his fists, radiating raw power. He felt capable of punching through a cow with ease.
He estimated his normal strength at 5–8 tons, speed reaching 320 meters per second—faster than a car. His reflexes, endurance, and self-healing exceeded human limits. In short, his body now rivaled Captain America Rogers' own.
"Finally… freed completely from a mortal body."
His eyes glowed with divine light, and a wild, exhilarated smile spread across his face. With a single surge of energy, he lunged toward Rogers like a cheetah. His muscles flexed violently, and a simple punch tore through the air with a whoosh.
Peng!
Rogers, experienced in countless battles, remained calm. He reacted slightly faster than Allens' newly enhanced speed, catching Allens' fist with his right hand while raising his shield with his left.
Peng!
The heavy Vibranium shield struck Allens. Fear flickered in his eyes. He quickly projected a psychokinetic barrier, absorbing part of the impact. The force drove him back several steps—but Rogers also felt the strain.
Allens surged forward, grabbing Rogers' right arm with his free hand and slamming him into the wall. Rogers' unshielded arm took the brunt of the collision.
"Object manipulation… Psychokinesis."
Allens released a wave of psychic energy, pressing down on Rogers like a mountain. Even with super-soldier strength, Rogers struggled to break free.
"Stop obsessing, Allens. You're destabilizing the future."
Bound by psychokinesis, Rogers' eyes still blazed with determination and justice, his voice unwavering.
"Hahaha… Captain Rogers, destabilize the future? The spirit of America, the embodiment of justice… yet I have already seen your future. Among the stability you cling to, countless timelines are shattered. Tell me—how do you reach your so-called future?"
Allens laughed, face cold. He knew better than anyone that this world was a multiverse, with multiple branching timelines. Reaching Rogers' future was impossible. Even Allens understood that.
"We save the future. We save the world."
Rogers' face remained calm. Once the idea of justice took root in him, nothing could sway him—not even Allens' words.
"Bring your justice and say goodbye to this world, Captain America."
Allens raised his left hand, index finger aimed at Rogers' forehead. The psychokinetic energy sliced like a blade.
Tsk… tsk.
Allens' hand moved, drawing a parallel line. Blood trickled from Rogers' forehead, a thin crimson line cutting along his skull.
Tick tock… tick tock.
Rogers' muscles tensed, his frown deepening. Like a slumbering beast awakening, he slowly raised his right hand.
"Illusion."
Allens attempted to maintain control, but Rogers broke free, only to be pulled back into layers of illusion.
"Very well, Rogers… your super-soldier serum is mine."
Allens' eyes were cold, his left hand moving relentlessly. Power meant more to him than morality—he would become a supervillain if it meant strength, even killing a superhero if necessary.
Boom!
Just as Allens was about to strike Rogers' head, the wall behind him exploded. Iron Man, clad in thick armored plating, appeared. The flamethrower in his left hand roared, blasting a jet of scorching fire aimed at Allens.
