Boom!
The wall behind Allens exploded violently, and a man in a metal suit emerged from the debris. Inside the armor, a dirty but determined Tony Stark looked exhausted, yet his eyes shone with confidence.
"Damn it! Taste the wrath of Tony Stark!"
Tony, tormented by terrorists for so long, had reached his limit. He raised his left hand, and the flamethrower on his gauntlet erupted in a scorching blaze.
Boom!
The intense heat made Allens' face darken. Flames licked at his back, forcing him to momentarily abandon his attempt to strike Rogers' brain. He turned slightly and projected a psychokinetic barrier.
Peng!
Allens' invisible wall froze the flames midair. He turned to face the armored figure behind him.
"WTF… does this kid perform magic tricks? Okay, I admit you're good at tricks, but please respect science!"
Tony Stark, clad in his crude Mark I armor, widened his eyes and muttered a string of expletives. The scene before him was almost magical, and someone who had always trusted science like Tony couldn't help but feel astonished.
Even in shock, Tony's sarcasm remained.
Allens tapped his finger lightly, and the flames previously suspended in midair reversed, wrapping around the armor.
Buzz… buzz… buzz!
The Mark I suit lacked heat insulation, and the temperature inside skyrocketed. Sweat poured from Tony as if he were in a furnace. The rudimentary armor's internal alarms blared frantically.
"Shit."
Tony Stark, trapped in the metal shell, cursed with horror in his eyes. He swore that if he survived, his next suit would have proper heat insulation—an absolute minimum standard.
Whoosh!
With Tony's sudden interference, Captain Rogers seized the opportunity. His muscles surged, breaking free from Allens' psychokinesis. He hurled his Vibranium shield directly at Allens.
"Psychokinetic barrier!"
Allens, forced to defend, projected an invisible wall to block the shield.
Peng!
Captain America's Vibranium shield—strongest metal on Earth, capable of absorbing massive energy—struck Allens with a force that made him grit his teeth.
"Ahem… damn it, this kid just keeps getting stronger."
Allens was hit again but rolled to land firmly on the ground. Opposite him, Rogers stood ready, shield in hand.
Da da da!
The remaining nine Fury soldiers charged, pointing their guns at Allens. A flash of light appeared on their wrists, and spears materialized in each hand.
"Shit… Wakanda tech again?"
Allens frowned, watching Rogers deflect the flaming metal can with a flying shield. The tide of battle shifted against him.
"Fury team, attack!"
Rogers grabbed his returning Vibranium shield and fixed Allens with a cold gaze. At his command, the nine Fury warriors, enhanced with the weakened super-soldier serum, discarded their firearms and charged with Wakandan spears.
Peng, peng, peng!
Allens raised his right hand, manipulating stones beneath his feet to strike the charging soldiers like bullets.
"Energy shield!"
The Fury warriors activated their spear shields, creating powerful energy barriers that repelled the projectiles.
Boom, boom, boom!
Bullets of stone struck the energy shields with barely a ripple. Wakanda technology was centuries ahead of the rest of the world—a true cheat code.
"F***k!"
Allens cursed. Facing Captain America and nine enhanced soldiers equipped with Wakanda tech, he found himself at a disadvantage.
"Illusion."
He cast his illusion once more, drawing the cave into a hallucinatory world.
"Captain Rogers… finally, a big gift for you."
A cold smile appeared on Allens' face as he activated a remote detonator. Explosives planted throughout the cave by his terrorist network detonated.
Boom, boom, boom!
Flames engulfed the cave, but Rogers and his allies, trapped in the illusion, couldn't perceive the explosion accurately.
"Retreat! Protect Tony Stark!"
Feeling the ground shake, Rogers didn't know the exact cause, but his battle-hardened instincts made him respond correctly.
"Captain Rogers… perhaps next time we meet, I'll surprise you again."
Allens' expression remained indifferent. His quantum battle suit shimmered, shrinking him to a subatomic size before he slipped into quantum space.
Boom!
The cave collapsed entirely. Amid the inferno, the armored Iron Man blasted away from the epicenter, only to have his armor disintegrate midair.
"Ahem… Allens, next time, I won't let you escape."
As the dust settled, the cave lay in ruins. Under a stone, a hand emerged—Captain America Rogers crawled out, standing atop the rubble, his gaze blazing with fury.
The nine remaining Fury warriors had died in the fire protecting Tony Stark.
Didi… didi…
Rogers wiped blood from his mouth, checked the quantum battle suit tracker, and frowned at the time displayed.
