"After all, I am different. As long as I find the Obelisk, the murderer will lead me to unlock my own abilities."
Sitting in the corner of Alice's Bar, the noisy atmosphere didn't bother Lena. She stared absentmindedly at the red wine on the table, feeling a subtle unease.
Lena didn't think Skye's father, Mr. Hyde, was a good partner. He was only pursuing power beyond humans. For her, it didn't matter who her partner was—what mattered was the power she could obtain.
Yet, whether it was the secrets of the Obelisk or the abilities she desired, Lena had not gained either so far. Doubt crept in—maybe she was just an ordinary person. That was all.
"Shua."
Just as Lena was lost in thought, her eyes flicked to the empty chair opposite her. She gasped as a figure in a jet-black hooded robe appeared.
"Who… are you?"
Compared to ordinary people, Lena's reaction was surprisingly calm. After a brief shock, she regained her composure.
"Ding."
Allens ignored her question, tapping the table with his index finger. Instantly, the surroundings shifted. The bar transformed into deep space, with colorful planets receding into the distance. Before her appeared an extraordinarily beautiful planet.
"Here…?"
Lena's eyes widened at the stunning scenery. She looked around—lush trees, vibrant flowers, and a mysterious man standing before her.
"The exact name of this alien planet is unknown, but in the future it will be called the Garden of Retirement," Allens explained.
Surrounded by paradise-like beauty, Allens' eyes gleamed. The illusion was based on his impressions: the private retreat Thanos once used after snapping his fingers.
"An alien planet?"
Lena, who had always longed for something unique, was intrigued. Though she didn't fully trust Allens, the alien planet captivated her interest.
"Do not limit yourself to Earth. The universe is vast. The Obelisk you seek is just a product of the Kree, who came to Earth to conduct experiments," Allens continued.
For Allens, Terrigen Crystals were trivial. What truly mattered were the Inhumans transformed by Terrigen.
"Why are you telling me this?" Lena's voice betrayed her shock.
Her instincts told her that this mysterious man might be revealing the truth about the Obelisk. She had been pursuing it, hoping to harness its power. As someone familiar with mystical objects, she understood its significance.
But why reveal such vital information? Born cautious and wary, Lena's trust in Allens was near zero.
"The Obelisk is not important. What matters are the people—those unique individuals," Allens said.
"You have always believed you are unique, different from ordinary humans. And you are right—you are special—but you are not the only one."
He spoke of the many races in the universe: the Eternal, born immortal; the Kree, a high-tech species; and countless strange creatures. "Do not limit yourself to Earth. Follow me, and you will become truly unique in the universe."
Allens' voice was enchanting, penetrating her heart. In a few words, he painted the universe's wonders, filling Lena with excitement.
"Even if you use the Obelisk to activate the Inhuman genes in your body, you will only gain the ability to foresee the future. But follow me, and you will acquire powers that surpass Earth itself."
He gently touched her face, his tone confident and mesmerizing.
"How… is that possible? I can only gain the ability to predict the future?" Lena whispered, struggling to believe him, yet her instincts made her hesitate.
"State your purpose," she demanded. Though intrigued by Allens' vision of the future, she remained cautious, studying him carefully.
"The Obelisk is irrelevant. What matters are the people. I can obtain any power I desire—and you will be my worthy assistant."
A faint smile curved Allens' lips. His words stunned Lena momentarily. She leaned slightly forward, inhaling the sweet fragrance of the flowers around her, a smile forming on her lips.
"I agree to cooperate—but I need to see proof that you have the power to achieve my future," she said, her voice tinged with challenge.
There was a seductive smile on her face. At that moment, she seemed like an angel—but only Allens knew that Lena had not surrendered willingly. Yet it didn't matter. Once she witnessed his power, Lena's nature would compel her to regard him as a god.
"Find Carl Creel, and I will show you that following me leads to your brightest future," Allens promised, tapping the table with his right index finger. Instantly, the surroundings dissolved, and Lena found herself back in Alice's Bar.
"Mystical powers… mystical beings… I hope you will grant me true metamorphosis," Lena whispered, her eyes gleaming.
As an ordinary human who had faced S.H.I.E.L.D and HYDRA, she knew the importance of seizing opportunities.
She had once been obsessed with Acute Eyes—the man who seemed to see and control everything. To her, he had been godlike.
Now, tempered by experience, Lena remained cautious in choosing allies.
"Carl Creel? We'll see about that."
Rising gracefully, her presence drew the attention of those around her. Even other women could not ignore her charm. With a sly smile, Lena vanished into the bar.
