Chapter 32 - Hard decision

My brows furrowed as I watched Enzo take the speaker to stake his claims.

But that smirk on his face had my jaw clenched and my teeth gritted. He was such a manipulative beast, and I couldn't imagine what he was up to now, but if it was to make us totally surrender to his leadership, then I was certain that wasn't going to happen.

At least not now. Not ever.

The sudden swell of murmurs pulled my attention to the barricade. My gaze snapped toward it, there was Amanda, fighting desperately to push her way through into the main center, where the sand had already been churned into mud beneath countless feet from the combat.

What was she doing?

I turned to Jayson, who abruptly mind-linked the guards at the barricade, because Amanda was struggling against their forceful grip as they dragged her back into the crowd.

Something rumbled in my chest as the loudspeaker stole the moment.
