The loud sound that echoed through the entire air caused my heart to skip, and for a moment it seemed as though everywhere was roaring. I didn't know what it was, but whatever it was, it was either an attack or something far worse.
Soon, I could hear roars and footsteps from afar, the sound of voices, of clashing metals, steel against steel, and screams.
The event, hadn't it come to an end? It was already pretty dark, and before I was dragged out of the arena by the guards, I was pretty sure everything seemed about to be wrapped up. Or…
Thoughts clouded my mind, but uneasiness stole the moment away, seizing whatever was forming in my heart.
