Chapter 9 - 09. Praying energy

The same evening Su MeiMei went back home and didn't come back with words that she will be back to Peach village only if the two girls kneel to her and ask in forgiveness.

Too bad that even elder of Su clan just refused even asking and sent her away.

In her anger she didn't even notice huge change that happened and left while her grandfather just sighed whole day long.

"We truly spiked her too much. Wife, where was it wrong?"

She shook her head. Actually since childhood she tried to en strict to that girl and teach her many things, but these overprotective peoeop refused to make the child have any grievances, turning her the person she was now.

"If her family starts teaching her some common sense now, maybe she can turn around soon. She is still young enough to learn. Sigh. I won't say anything anymore."

Even if she spoke more for years no one listened.

The two girls on other hand became real center as both were extremely polite to any elders and helpful.

"Auntie, we can help you feed the chicken but can we get two eggs a day?" Su Fei was not scared of work and if she couro get something out of its not wrong.

"You two girls should not do such dirty work. We have so many boys. You two just learn how to embroider. Your hands shouldn't touch anything dirty." The older woman actually was one of rare widowed Su clan daughters that was kicked out of her family just year ago and clan changed the rule exactly because this reason.

Su Fei shook her head. "Auntie, embroidery can be done only few hours a day or I would harm my eyes."

This was not even a lie.

South had more sun hours. A day in north where she can comfortably embroider were just few around noon.

"Embroidery done by night and by light of candle can cause the work to be harmed as you don't see clearly small details needed. You can destroy a good embroidery only by doing one wrong move. Auntie, I am person that dislikes making mistakes when I work. So I'm hundred times careful."

She could feel people listening so she spoke loudly.

"What, embroidery at night can change the work?" The old aunt was stunned.

Su Fei nodded. "My mother always said that if you start embroidery at night, you should finish it at night. If you start at day, never, ever do it at night as the feeling is different. If you mix day and night, embroidery can be sold only as barely passable. Good embroidery takes time and amazing concentration. So we have to set time when we do certain embroidery because different lightning will cause embroidery to feel different."

Many were thinking of her words but didn't take it seriously.

Actually, she knew that in ancient times many lost their eyesight early because they overworked and did often work at night.

But in times where there is no electric light, it's hard not to yarm your eyes.

Su Fei still went to help with feeding and got two eggs she used to steam and gave her father to replenish his body.

For years he often took away from his own mouth to feed or his son's or later his grandchildren, causing him to have heavy deficiency.

That caused him to get sicker with time. But no one noticed it.

Next day the burial ceremony was grand.

She never expected real burial ceremony with all the monks and everything.

As family members, they were in front and the moment the three pots were presented, a shiny light appeared and the three pots changed into beautiful ceramic.

The elders went on knees and even the monks were amazed by the sight. When the light dissapeared an amazing amount of offerings appeared and Su Quan started crying.

"The fairy really is watching over my wife. Thank you."

The Su elders were curious about the story but the burial ceremony had to be done and it took long as they literally had to bury the pits and huge stone was placed on top.

Under that stone they will place more of remains of the Su elders line so it had to be fine properly.

As they left the praying hall, Su Fei left as elders let her this time.

An old monk sat with her and waited until she was gone and then came to her.

"Deity told me she saw you have heart on right place. So she will give you another gift. Everything you have in your secret storage will double. But this is final time. From now on you write your own story that will help others in future. She said you will understand."

So her story will be in book as well?

This is interesting.

She closed her eyes and inside her mind she saw something amazing. Didn't she said double?

Her hundred cubic meters of space suddenly became huge field filled with supplies.

But she knew it's not time now to use it. Literally too many eyes.

She just sincerely prayed after that, causing many that used the chance to come to the praying hall to admire her.

Su Yue on other hand was protecting anyone getting close as she saw how deep she was in praying.

Even the old monk joined in and for hours both prayed to deities.

Su Fei had no idea that the mink could see the energy around this girl gathering and entering her body and was amazed. Not many knew that praying to deities you gather holly energy that can purify body, help with health issues and extend life.

The holly energy slowly flowed into the girl until Su Quan didn't come back and saw her pale face beaded with sweat droplets.

"You little fool. Your mother knows your piety, elders can see your devotion. Stop with praying."

The two helped shaky girl back home while whole village including all women that lived there, to change their minds to positively see Su girls.

Even those that were not liking the rules.

Not all Su girls were spiled brats like MeiMei.

Two days after that they went down to the city, following everyone and were stunned to see ever from far countless stands.

This time, Su Quan let the two girls walk around on their own as he knew Su clan boys definitely won't let them get hurt.

And he wanted them to learn prices as in future he knew he can't he by their site forever.
