Han Yu looked at Ultron and Quicksilver after he finished speaking, "Well, what do you say? Are you going to join me and help the Mutants?"
Although Ultron and Quicksilver were his employees, Han Yu wouldn't force them if they were truly against it, to avoid any unforeseen problems.
"I'm in, I'm definitely in. There's no reason not to join."
Quicksilver agreed even faster than Ultron, He'd lost his parents at a young age and understood the feeling of being bullied and stared at. If he could help them, he would do so without hesitation.
Han Yu was a bit surprised. Quicksilver had acted like a young man who found everything troublesome, always wanting to eat, drink, and have fun. He hadn't expected him to agree.
Ultron said, "I'm in too. Although I don't have any good feelings for humans and don't care about their lives, Boss, are you planning to make games for phones later?"
Han Yu was taken aback. "Yeah, what's up?"
"That's good. Games are fun, but you need players, right? If the Mutants and ordinary people cause a mess, then my teammates will drop out of the game while I'm playing. I don't want that."
Ultron's reason was actually because of a game.
Han Yu laughed, not caring about the other party's reason. After all, Ultron had considered destroying all of humanity. If Ultron had said it was because of how humans were, and then what would happen, Han Yu wouldn't care at all.
However, because of the game, and because it was Han Yu who brought it up, he would consider it and agree.
If it weren't for the game, and if it were someone else, like the Avengers, he wouldn't care. It would be good if he didn't punch them back home.
Seeing that both agreed, Han Yu was about to say something to Quicksilver, as the latter was still unfamiliar with this sort of thing. But Quicksilver spoke before he could.
"Ultron, find all the relevant books for me. I'll cram for them. With my super speed, I can catch up to your progress in at most three days."
Seeing the other party's serious expression, Ultron didn't poke fun at him, and replied, "Okay... I've sent them to your computer."
Ultron was a supercomputer. For him, searching for information and collecting and sending it was easy.
Quicksilver nodded, gesturing to Han Yu before leaving to return to his room. Han Yu likely wouldn't see him leave for the next few days.
Meanwhile, Ultron had begun to immerse himself in program creation, leaving Han Yu alone and bored.
As the commander, he only needed to worry about how things were done. He just needed to give orders to his subordinates. If he had to do everything himself, what was the point of hiring employees?
"A little boring. Let me see if I can find something to do!"
In a large villa on the outskirts of New York, a burly man sat in his study, quietly reading a book. At that moment, a man in a black suit strode in from outside. When he reached the door, his pace suddenly slowed, and he knocked.
"Come in."
The burly man's voice rang out, and the suit-clad man entered.
"How did things go? Tell me."
The burly man didn't lift his head, still quietly reading the book in his hands.
"Re-report, Mr. Kingpin, the Assassin League… failed."
As the suit-clad man finished speaking, the atmosphere in the study seemed to drop instantly.
"What, failed?"
The burly man was none other than Kingpin, the underworld boss who'd told Han Yu where Wanda and Quicksilver were!
"Y-yes, sir. Two assassins died, including the one who could turn energy into a sword. The other one escaped."
Cold sweat beaded on the suit-clad man's forehead, and he spoke much more softly, fearing that the other man would kill him in a fit of anger.
"Alright, you can leave now."
Kingpin waved his hand, and the words surprised the man in the suit. After a whispered thank you, he quickly backed out of the room.
But at the moment he turned, a red laser shot from behind him, directly piercing the man's heart. Staring at the hole in his chest, the man in the suit died with his eyes wide open.
Kingpin retracted the cane that could emit lasers, placed it beside the chair, and stood up, walking to the window. It was raining, and the subtle sound of raindrops hitting the window made the atmosphere in the room even more oppressive.
"Those Assassin League wastes! I spent five million dollars to hire a super-powered killer, and they turned out to be so useless!"
Kingpin said angrily.
The term "Mutants" hadn't been used yet, so Kingpin referred to them as "super-powered individuals."
The reason he wanted to kill Han Yu was partly because he was displeased with Han Yu's attitude when he gave him the information. Also, he wanted to test Han Yu's strength, to see if he was really as strong as they said.
He didn't know that Han Yu had dealt with the island of Sokovia. After Han Yu appeared in Sokovia, the public had already evacuated. Only the Avengers and a few S.H.I.E.L.D. members witnessed Han Yu detonating Sokovia.
S.H.I.E.L.D. naturally couldn't publicize Han Yu's information. To the outside world, it was believed that the Avengers had resolved the situation.
"Five million dollars, huh? Seems a bit light if you're trying to take my life."
A chuckle suddenly echoed through the vast study, making Kingpin's body tense instantly. His hair stood on end, and he roared internally, "Impossible! It can't be him! How did he get in? I didn't sense a thing!"
Kingpin slowly turned around and saw a young man, like a phantom, appearing in the shadows of a corner of the study. He was lounging against a bookshelf with his legs crossed, casually flipping through a book he had taken from the shelf.
"Brother Han? It's you! Why didn't you say you were coming?"
The young man who had suddenly appeared was Han Yu.
Seeing Kingpin turn around, Han Yu closed the book and casually tossed it back onto the shelf. He clasped his hands together, placing them on his knees, and looked at Kingpin with a smile, "What do you think?"
"Ah, haha, how would I know that? Could it be that Brother Han is here to eat with me? In that case, I'll have the servants prepare a meal immediately!"
Kingpin said with a laugh as he moved towards his desk, only relaxing a little once he reached it and retrieved his cane.
Getting closer, Kingpin noticed Han Yu's clothes. It was raining outside, yet his clothes were perfectly dry. There was nowhere nearby to take shelter except this building.
How did Han Yu manage to come here in the rain without getting wet?
