Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 Heading to King's Cross Station

"Actually, even if you hadn't said anything, I had the same intention.

If it were before, Professor X would never have agreed to let the children engage in combat so early, but now, he must be very willing for these children to possess more self-preservation abilities."

Wolverine agreed almost without hesitation.

In the former Mutant School, Professor X's philosophy was that students were students; coming to school was for them to better learn to control their abilities and to acquire other knowledge.

What kind of job they wanted to do or what kind of person they wanted to become in the future was entirely up to them.

Only after becoming adults and truly willing to stay at the school to become X-Men would they receive combat training.

However, the situation is clearly very different now; to survive better, even children must learn to develop their abilities and learn to fight to protect themselves.

If every child could have strength like Little Wolf Girl, united together, they wouldn't fear Yake Lai's pursuit at all.

"Alright, then get some good rest!"

After George and Wolverine had thoroughly inspected both levels of the Underground Room, they returned to their respective rooms to rest.

They had been rushing for the past two days and hadn't rested well, but now they could finally fall asleep peacefully.

Thus, four days later.

George, as usual, went to Bronx to gather intelligence, then buried himself in magic research upon returning, and in the evening, he focused his energy mainly on his clone in the Harry Potter World.

While his main body in the Marvel Universe was busy with the prison break, his clone wasn't idle either.

Aside from occasionally entertaining Tonks and her colleagues who came to freeload meals, he was basically researching magic theory and learning and practicing new magic.

However, today was an exception, because today was September 1st, the day he was to leave for Hogwarts to attend school.

"Peggy, let's go!"

After placing the cage containing the giant owl, George locked the shop's front door, pushed a cart full of luggage, and walked out towards Knockturn Alley.

"Peggy" was the name he gave his owl pet, because this owl was incredibly gluttonous; if he hadn't inherited the Old Wizard's legacy, he really couldn't afford such a large pet.

However, despite its gluttony, it was indeed very useful.

To prevent his shop from being frequented by Dark Wizards while he was at school, he had sold off all the Potions and herbs he didn't need in the shop at a discount these past few days.

It was just that not many of the Wizards who came to his shop to buy things were easy to deal with.

If it weren't for Peggy, the giant owl, standing on the shop's beam, glaring menacingly, they might have tried some small tricks.

For example, using Confundo to make him foolishly give away expensive Potions for free.

Pushing a small cart taller than himself, George walked out of Knockturn Alley, then turned into Diagon Alley, and after about a few hundred meters, arrived in front of a seemingly ordinary red brick wall.

He took out his wand and tapped on a few specific bricks on the wall, and the bricks on the wall immediately began to shake, and soon a wide archway appeared before him.

Continuing to push the cart through the archway, he entered Diagon Alley's famous Leaky Cauldron, a Wizard inn-style pub that combined dining and lodging.

He had eaten here a few times when he had free time, and honestly, the taste was very mediocre, the environment was also very mediocre, even somewhat dirty and cramped.

After greeting the owner, Old Tom, George did not linger at the Leaky Cauldron, but went directly to the Muggle street outside the pub, and then stood quietly by the roadside, waiting.

Originally, he had planned to take the Muggle subway to King's Cross Station, but last time when Tonks brought her colleagues to freeload meals at his place, she learned that he was going to King's Cross Station today and insisted on driving him there.

After waiting by the roadside for about ten minutes, an old dark green car drove over from a distance and stopped beside him.

"Hey, George, you're ten minutes earlier than the agreed time!"

Tonks opened the car door and got out of the passenger seat.

George replied with a smile:

"I'm used to being a little early for everything, so I don't get flustered."

"That's a good habit, unfortunately, I've never been able to form it."

Tonks laughed heartily as she helped George move his luggage into the car's trunk; she was very boisterous and acted impulsively.

"Undetectable Extension Charm?"

Seeing Tonks effortlessly place his large pile of luggage and Peggy into the cramped trunk, George's face showed surprise.

The Undetectable Extension Charm is a magical spell that can expand the area of space; a Wizard proficient in this spell can even expand a small box to the size of a city.

Just like the famous Magizoologist Newt Scamander, who made such an oversized briefcase for himself.

However, this spell is not allowed for private use by Wizards under Wizard law; it can only be used on public items approved by the Ministry of Magic.

For example, the magical tents rented to Wizard spectators from various countries during the International Quidditch Cup.

Of course, that's what they say, but because this spell is too convenient in daily life, most Wizards still secretly use it, as long as they are not caught red-handed by Aurors, it's not a big deal.

"It seems you've been studying very diligently recently; this trunk indeed used the Undetectable Extension Charm, but don't worry, this is a Ministry of Magic Auror special vehicle, which is a legal modification."

Tonks closed the trunk and winked at George triumphantly.

She was still a provisional trainee Auror, but due to her outstanding performance, she could already use the Ministry of Magic's special Auror magic car.

"Excellent!"

George cooperatively gave a thumbs up.

On the surface, Tonks was nineteen and George was eleven, so Tonks was an older sister.

But in reality, Tonks's mental age was nineteen, while George's mental age was already in his early thirties, far more mature than Tonks.

"Good morning, George."

After getting in the car, a young male Wizard in a bright green velvet suit, sitting in the driver's seat, waved and greeted him.

"Ah, when you go to Hogwarts for school, we won't have any more free meals."

"Good morning, Aldo, you can wait for my vacation, it's only a few months."

George replied with a smile.

He knew this guy; he had freeloaded meals a few times with Tonks and was very obsessed with the Chinese food he made; he was Tonks's classmate from the same graduating class and was now a provisional Auror at the Ministry of Magic.

Moreover, he could tell that this guy was pursuing Tonks, but Tonks only treated the other party as a brother.

One can only say that love cannot be forced; Tonks preferred the uncle type like Lupin and wasn't very keen on the handsome, fresh-faced type like Aldo.

"Don't listen to his nonsense; go to Hogwarts and study magic well, it's really a very good school."

Tonks sat in the passenger seat, immediately gave Aldo a smack on the back of his head, then turned to George and said.

Aldo rubbed the back of his head, accustomed to it, and skillfully started the magic car, driving towards King's Cross Station.
