Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Kill it (2)

Manu started to move toward Srini while he was about to reach him."Snort…" sound."What… is that sound? Is this my imagination?" Manu thought.

But Manu heard the sound again, so he turned toward the direction of the sound.

There was a horned sheep standing on its feet with red eyes and blood all over its face, blood dripping onto the ground."What? It was not dead after all," Manu thought.

Then the horned sheep charged at Manu.Manu, who was in shock, was unable to dodge it, so he held the rod diagonally to protect himself.

But the speed of the horned sheep was reduced, and when it hit Manu, Manu just took three steps back. Manu was shocked by this. "What's happening? Why was I not sent away by its strike?" Manu thought in confusion.

The horned sheep looked shocked too by the result. "It is something connected to the red light—" Manu's thought was cut in the middle.

The horned sheep struck Manu with its horns, but this time Manu felt the strike was stronger than the previous one, and his hands started to shake from the impact on the rod. "No, it's recovering. I need to take this away from here. If it recovers fully, we both are going to die," Manu thought.

Manu started to run toward the building, and the horned sheep also started to follow him. The building was a small three-floor house, it looked like a single house per floor.

Manu entered and started to climb the stairs. He tried to look behind to see if the horned sheep was following, and it was—catching up with anger in its face, its blood-red eyes fixed on Manu.

Seeing this, Manu speed up climbing the stairs and reached the first floor. Then Manu opened the door, entered the house, and closed the door.

The horned sheep, watching Manu close the door, without hesitation struck the door and with only one hit the door broke down. Manu, seeing this, entered the room. "Oh, why did I enter this closed place like a room?" Manu thought at first.

But he found something special: the room had a small straight gap through which a slim person could enter if they moved sideways like a crab.

The horned sheep that had entered the house started to look for Manu. When it heard the sound of the door closing, it rushed toward the door and with a single hit it smashed the door with its horns too.

When it entered the room, it saw Manu moving between the walls. The gap in the wall was not wide enough to allow the horned sheep to pass through. Seeing this, the horned sheep moved backward. Then, within a second, it came with full force and hit the wall.

Due to the hit, cracks started to appear on the wall. In the meantime, Manu was able to enter another room that connected both rooms. "I think the demon has regained its strength. If I get hit by it once, I will be dead," Manu thought, looking at the cracks that had appeared in the wall.

"If I can go down using these climbing plants, Srini and I can escape," Manu thought, looking at the window and the hanging climbing plants.

At the same time, the horned sheep hit the wall again, but this time the wall bulged outward and with another single strike it could break the wall. "No, I need to act fast… fast… faster," Manu thought and moved toward the window.

When Manu tried to look down he saw something that lit up his eyes. Then Manu peered up to look at the above floor and found another window.
