Chapter 15 - Ch.15

They had just witnessed ghouls with the power of fallen angels being effortlessly slaughtered. If they were the opponents, they wouldn't have stood a chance. And they could genuinely feel the killing intent radiating from Luo Guang.

"Luo Guang-kun... how did you get here?" Touka Kirishima asked, her voice filled with panic.

"I smelled something disgusting, so I came over to check it out. Sure enough, there were some trash," Luo Guang said. "So, which of you... have eaten humans before?"

Luo Guang had no sympathy for ghouls. Although Touka's group were considered "good" in the context of the original manga, their goodness wasn't entirely pure. The "Antique" coffee shop sheltered many ghouls who had turned over a new leaf.

But if Luo Guang encountered a ghoul who had feasted on human flesh, he would not be so lenient.

"Wha... what should we do?" Someone began to panic. They had thought he was a savior, but it turned out he was a judge.

"Wait, Luo Guang-kun, I can promise you... they have never eaten a human before! At most... they have only bought blood from the black market. They have never eaten a human!" Touka Kirishima explained in a hurry.

"How can you prove that?" Luo Guang asked in return.

"My lord, please have mercy. Touka is not lying. We have never attacked any humans. I even have a certificate from the devils here."

As he spoke, Yoshimura handed him a red-covered document.

"?" Luo Guang took it and casually flipped through the contents, his expression suddenly unreadable.

After a few seconds of silence, he took out the crest Rias had given him and spoke. "Rias, do you know that there are ghouls in your jurisdiction?"

"Why are you asking about that so suddenly? But... before I took over the administration of Kuoh City from my father, I looked at some documents. There were indeed some ghoul communities, but they were harmless to ordinary humans, so I didn't bother with them," Rias replied, rubbing her eyes. "So, what happened?"

"Nothing."

Well, wasn't that something? The ghouls from the "Antique" coffee shop were actually certified by the Underworld? No wonder such a group could exist peacefully in Kuoh City; they were officially recognized.

The misunderstanding was cleared. The killing intent that Touka's companions felt immediately vanished. They all breathed a sigh of relief but remained wary of Luo Guang, afraid he might suddenly snap.

But Luo Guang didn't do anything else.

"So, why did these ghouls have the power of fallen angels?" Luo Guang asked.

Yoshimura then explained the entire situation in detail. He remembered the crest on Luo Guang's hand. It was the family crest of the Gremory family, a pure-blooded noble family from the Underworld.

So even if Luo Guang wasn't a devil, he was at least an associate.

As a group that had to survive in the cracks, they didn't want to get involved in any pointless conflicts.

Yoshimura explained in great detail, and Luo Guang understood the whole story.

So, these ghouls, who were nothing more than cannon fodder in a fantasy world, had latched onto the fallen angels?

Interesting. Luo Guang had no desire to linger, so he turned and left.

The coffee shop became cold again. Touka looked out into the dark, rainy night, her expression incredibly complex.

The Newfound Power

Luo Guang rode his motorcycle back home.

This battle was a complete accident, but it wasn't a total waste. After taking the light spears from the ghouls' hands, his passive ability activated, and he obtained some information about the power of light.

The power of light was different from magical power and Immortal Qi. It was the source of angels and fallen angels. When God created them, He bestowed upon them divine power within their bodies.

This was the power of light.

Even if an angel fell, it was only their mindset that fell, not their power. The power of light was the perfect counter to devils and other evil beings.

Therefore, after returning home, Luo Guang immediately seized this hard-won opportunity to analyze the power of light and try to master this new power. After all, the more skills he had, the better.

But even with his "Diligence Rewards" ability, it was impossible for Luo Guang to master a divine power in just a few hours.

Moreover, after acquiring a trace of the power of light, his body experienced a small problem. The power of devils and the power of angels were in conflict.

These two powers were as incompatible as the positive and negative ends of a magnet. If he tried to forcefully cultivate the power of light, the result would be the two powers clashing inside Luo Guang's body and "Boom!" like a lit fuse on a bomb.

But this was no problem for Luo Guang.

So what if they were incompatible?

For an ordinary person, they would have to choose one or the other.

But for him!

Ahem, wrong setting.

Diligence Rewards, cultivate for me!
