Chapter 36 - Chaotic morning

Chapter 35

Amara had arrived so early that morning at Kairen's house. She had come to check up on Kairen; she needed to know how he was doing and, at the same time, get the full gist and tea on last night's incident.

Kairen's apartment looked like a total mess. Of course, it would look that way—Kairen hadn't slept at home for two days.

Amara helped with the cleaning, from sweeping to arranging items. She was deep into helping Kairen tidy up.

She muttered cusses about how tattered Kairen's apartment looked as she drew the curtains open.

The morning sun seeped into the room as if it had been waiting to intrude on that space. Amara stood there, looking out the window for a while, enjoying the cool atmosphere of the weekend.

"This is why I love weekends," she muttered to herself before turning back to the room to continue.

Kairen, on the other hand, had woken up but had no strength for anything. Thank God he had someone like Amara.
