Julian stood stranded, staring up and down at the minimalist buildings in the neighborhood, unsure of which particular one to enter.
The morning sun had grown harsher than usual, catching the gleam of the black jacket he was wearing. He tugged at it occasionally to adjust it, trying to hide the bandage wrapped around his wrist.
What added more salt to his wound was the fact that he looked completely out of place in a neighborhood like this.
Maybe he had dressed too neatly maybe even overdressed because the way passersby gave him side-eyes every time he greeted them made him feel like exploding.
"Tsk!" he sucked his teeth, utterly frustrated.
He reached for his phone in his pocket and gently pulled it out, careful not to strain his wound or loosen the bandage.
He tried using the phone, but the sunlight made it impossible to see clearly, even though he shaded the screen with his hand.
"What sort of rubbish is this," he cursed, frustration coloring every tone and movement.
