Anna Ives looked up, her eyes cool and steady, like she wasn't even breathing heavy. She said nothing, just watched.
Isabelle, seeing Anna so chill, got hotter and sharper. "To avoid marrying Zach, you drugged and framed your own sister. Just to climb up to Harry, you'd do anything. You're jealous because Tina's engaged to Harry and has his heir, while you have an unwanted child!" Her voice cut the air.
Anna's eyes narrowed.
Her face stayed calm, but the cold in them was real. The one thing she couldn't stand was anyone talking trash about her kid.
Still, she let a tiny smile play on her lips and, almost friendly, replied, "For such a big company, the Luke security is terrible. They can't even keep a dog from running in and barking, disturbing the peace."
Isabelle nearly choked on her fury. She'd come expecting to watch Anna fall, instead she was being mocked.
