"This shows you haven't the slightest remorse. I'll go ask Samantha how she managed to raise such a daughter!"
"Where are you taking me?!" she screamed.
Cecilia replied flatly, "To MAPLE CO."
At that hour Samantha was still at work—perfect. Cecilia wanted Samantha to see Fiona's true colors in front of the whole company and be publicly humiliated.
"You're crazy—let me down!" Fiona struggled wildly, her legs tangled between the narrow seats. The commotion angered Marylin; the two of them began grappling in the backseat. Cecilia moved to break them up, but Fiona's knee struck the back of the driver's seat, jolting Cecilia and causing her to lose her grip on the wheel.
"Stop it! You'll cause an accident!" Cecilia shouted.
The car veered toward the adjacent lane. Cecilia stomped the brake, but it was too late—the Ferrari slammed into a Bentley that was stopped at a red light with a tremendous crash. The impact was so loud that all three women in the car froze.
