Chapter 29 - Chapter 29- deserve worse

Marylin slammed the car door shut, clearly reluctant, then hurried after Cecilia on her tall stiletto heels.

"If that girl's lying to you, just wait till you see how I deal with her!"

The two stormed into the elevator and rode it all the way to the twenty-seventh floor—only to freeze the moment the doors slid open.

Every door in the hallway looked identical. No room numbers. Just a sterile stretch of beige walls and identical handles. They could only rely on the floor plan by the elevator, but after several minutes of circling, they still couldn't tell which one was Room 2705.

Cecilia glanced between the two identical doors on either side of the hall. "It has to be one of these two. Should we split up and check?"

"Sounds good to me." Marylin clutched her purse in one hand and held up her phone camera with the other, ready to record. She strode forward and knocked sharply on the door.
