Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Eye of Aman'Thul

With the cooperation of the First Legion, the Trolls successfully attacked the mountain path. However, the casualties were a bit high. The high ground to the south was filled with Kaldorei Mages and Rangers, whose spells and arrows killed Troll after Troll.

But the Troll Chieftain turned a blind eye to these casualties. The Troll population was large, and their reproductive capacity was astonishing. Every year, many young Trolls died due to lack of food. These Trolls dying in battle meant that the saved rations could be distributed to those young Trolls.

If they won, the bodies of the fallen from both sides would even be dragged back and turned into rations.

The advantage of cannibalism was displayed at this moment.

Unlike the cruel Chieftain, the Witch Doctors could not stand such heavy casualties. Of course, it wasn't that the Witch Doctors were more benevolent, but rather that they believed these Trolls were mature warriors, the most needed combat power at the moment, far stronger than those young Trolls who had not yet grown up.

After all, they believed in Hydra Nash, not Bwonsamdi.

Nash's appetite was growing day by day. They needed these mature warriors to hunt for food to fill Nash's stomach. Otherwise, they feared Nash would swallow them whole.

"Chieftain, we must rescue Nash from the attacks of those Dark Troll Mages. With Nash's help, we can easily win."

The Chieftain glanced at the raging Nash. He admitted that this Hydra was very strong. But its volatile temper was clearly not that of a qualified warrior. If it were before, he would have to rely on Nash's strength, but now—

He looked at the Aggramar's Shield in his hand, "If you want to go, then go! I will wait for you in Heda'shal to share the fruits of victory."

After speaking, he continued his ascent to the mountaintop.

A Ranger shot an arrow at him, but the Chieftain activated Aggramar's Shield, blocking the arrow.

The Witch Doctors exchanged glances, all showing annoyed expressions. In the past, they could manipulate the Chieftain by relying on Nash's power, but now the Chieftain no longer needed Nash, and their future days would be very difficult.

On one hand, they had to fill Nash's stomach, and on the other, they had to deal with the suppression from the strong Chieftain. They felt that their coming days would be very difficult.

Their only chance now was to rescue Nash from the Mages' attacks and let Nash participate in the upcoming battle. Only if Nash played a role would their future days be better.

The Troll Chieftain stepped onto the land of Heda'shal, only to find that the Trolls were once again blocked.

He surveyed his surroundings, looking for a suitable vantage point to command from above. But at this moment, the light on Aggramar's Shield flickered.

Danger!

Having experienced this once before, the Troll Chieftain immediately raised Aggramar's Shield. As soon as the powerful energy shield enveloped him, countless ice spears descended from the sky, stabbing towards him.

Damn Mages!

The Troll Chieftain sharply raised his arm, and the powerful energy from Aggramar's Shield immediately sent the shattered ice flying. He turned his head to look at the southern peak and saw the Mage who had disrupted the First Legion's encirclement operations several times, currently casting a spell.

He sneered, "I was just looking for you!"

Raising the throwing spear in his hand, he quickly rushed a few steps towards the peak, and with all his might, hurled the throwing spear.

Gale calmly watched the throwing spear. Before he could even react, Prince Farodis, manipulating the tide stone, guided a ball of water to envelop the throwing spear. Gale casually cast a Frost Breath, and the water ball turned into an ice ball, falling down the mountainside with the throwing spear.

Elisande said, "You distract him, and I'll handle the rest."

She also began to control the eye of aman'thul, condensing energy, waiting for the right moment.

Prince Farodis controlled the tide stone with one hand, directing a stream of water to impact the Troll Chieftain. With the other hand, he controlled Arcane, and Fireballs also crashed down.

Gale's mouth twitched. He knew Prince Farodis's strength was formidable, but he had not expected it to be so powerful.

Putting aside everything else, the Fireball was not a regular fire spell, but a composite spell merged with earth elements. Most Archmages would be lucky to cast it. Yet Prince Farodis cast it with ease, and could even divide his attention to control the tide stone. This strength was comparable to a demigod!

Gale even suspected that even without Aggramar's Shield, Prince Farodis might be able to defeat Nash in a one-on-one fight.

The Troll Chieftain was having a very hard time facing the "Ice and Fire Nine Heavens." He could only hold up Aggramar's Shield, unable to do anything else.

Gale saw that the Troll Chieftain was suppressed and was even more speechless; it seemed he didn't need to do anything.

Just then, the Troll Chieftain roared, raising Aggramar's Shield with both hands, releasing powerful energy that scattered the water flow and withstood the impact of the Fireballs.

Is Aggramar's Shield that strong?

Gale's eyes gleamed. He admitted that he coveted this pillars of creation.

Just as he was thinking about how to 'acquire' the equipment, Elisande let out a soft exclamation, then controlled the energy of the eye of aman'thul, sending it towards the Troll Chieftain.

In that instant, it was as if the air itself had solidified.

The energy of Aggramar's Shield was radiating outwards, like a constantly expanding bubble. And the energy of the eye of aman'thul, like a needle, directly pierced into it, hitting Aggramar's Shield precisely.

Gale could visibly see that Aggramar's Shield's energy reaction became sluggish, and even the "bubble" explosion was like slow motion.

The Troll Chieftain's horrified expression also stretched out as long as a century.

This is the power of the eye of aman'thul?

It's terrifying!

Gale recalled Aman'Thul, the leader of the Hall of the Pantheon, who possessed the ability to control time. He blessed Nozdormu of the Bronze Dragonflight, and from then on, this Dragon Aspect became the Time Guardian.

The reason the eye of aman'thul is named so is that, in addition to its powerful Arcane Energy, it must also contain divine power of time.

Gale felt his eyes burning. Without looking in a mirror, he knew his eyes were red. Now, what he wanted to 'acquire' even more was this piece of equipment; if he could 'acquire' Aggramar's Shield at the same time, that would be even better!

At this moment, desire consumed Gale.

Just as Gale was pondering "murder and plunder," a figure suddenly appeared behind the Troll Chieftain.

It was Maiev!

She had been hiding on the roof, waiting for this very opportunity. Flashing over, she immediately swung her sword, beheading the Troll Chieftain.

Elisande controlled the eye of aman'thul to retract its energy. Aggramar's Shield, freed from the time lock, quickly dissipated its energy. After the Troll Chieftain died, it also lost its master and no longer reacted.

Maiev crouched down, just about to reach for Aggramar's Shield.

"Wait!"

Gale flashed over, grabbing Aggramar's Shield before her. "Let me!"

Maiev said, puzzled, "Gale, you are a Mage; you are not suited for melee combat."

Gale shook his head, "But you don't understand titan runes and cannot fully utilize the shield's capabilities."

"Furthermore, how could I let a lady face that ugly monster?"

Maiev's lips curved upwards, and she handed him the Sanction Blade. "Be careful."

"Don't worry!"

Gale looked at Nash with full confidence, "It's no match for me!"

Turning his back to Maiev, Gale's lips curved upwards: "Yes! Got the equipment!"
