Emiya smiled and said, "Don't worry about it, it's no trouble at all. It's decided, I'll come pick you up in a few days."
With that, without waiting for Takashi Natsume to refuse, he left with Erina Nakiri and Hisako Arato.
In the next second, the three of them returned to the Food Wars! world. The landing spot was, as expected, Erina Nakiri's room.
This confirmed Emiya's guess: if he leaves a world from a certain place, he will enter that world again in the same spot, not a fixed bathroom or tub. This made Emiya feel relieved.
"Alright, you two should rest as well. I'll bring Takashi over on the fourth day for breakfast. Remember to give us a back door."
Erina Nakiri patted her chest. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it."
Emiya thought for a moment and said, "It might not just be Takashi and Nyanko-sensei. There might be others."
Erina Nakiri immediately understood and said with some envy, "You mean you're going to travel to another world?"
Emiya nodded. "I have nothing else to do anyway, right?"
Erina Nakiri thought about it and became even more envious. "Your life is so exciting."
Emiya admitted this. Before he got his superpower, he thought his ordinary life of running a convenience store was pretty good. Although it was a bit mundane, he was very content.
But after getting his superpower, Emiya was no longer so satisfied with his ordinary life. Instead, he felt that this life of traveling between various worlds was pretty good.
He was even starting to look forward to his next journey.
This is probably how human nature works; people are ever-changing.
After saying goodbye to Erina Nakiri and Hisako Arato, Emiya didn't return to his world. Instead, he protected himself with his Psychic ball and went directly to a new world.
Just like the previous times, Emiya felt a flash before his eyes and arrived in a new world.
To his dismay, the landing spot was still a bathroom. And it was a Japanese-style bathroom at that. This made Emiya very curious. What was going on with his travel ability? Why did he land in a bathroom twice out of three times? Did he have some kind of special connection with bathrooms?
If this continued, wouldn't he be in for a rude awakening?
Even more frustrating for Emiya was that there was a short-haired girl who was just about to take off her clothes inside the bathroom.
At this moment, the girl was looking at Emiya with a shocked expression, her mouth wide open as if she was about to scream. Emiya instinctively wanted to use his Psychic Hand to cover the girl's mouth.
However, before Emiya could act, the girl rushed towards him with the speed of a hundred-meter dash, grabbing his shoulder.
But she was bounced away by Emiya's Pyschic Ball. Even so, the girl didn't show any fear. Her eyes flashed with an unprecedented and beautiful light.
"An alien?"
Emiya was stunned, then shook his head.
"A person from the future?"
Emiya shook his head again.
"A psychic."
Emiya nodded. He had superpowers and was a genuine psychic. But what was wrong with this girl?
She wasn't afraid of him at all. An ordinary girl would be terrified if a stranger appeared out of thin air in her bathroom.
Could it be that this girl was not an ordinary person?
Emiya's heart sank, and he sized up the girl. The girl stood generously in front of Emiya and said something that surprised him even more.
"Please be my boyfriend."
"Huh?"
Emiya was completely baffled. Girl, you have problems. Who confesses right after meeting someone? This wasn't how love at first sight worked.
Emiya quickly made a stopping motion.
"In any case, let's calm down. Can we introduce ourselves first? My name is Emiya. As you can see, I'm a psychic and a person from another world."
"Oh, so you're from another world. I'm Haruhi Suzumiya, a new student at North High School," the girl said, introducing herself forthrightly.
"Haruhi Suzumiya?" Emiya was first stunned, then he had a sudden realization.
No wonder she confessed so quickly. It's you.
Emiya knew that Haruhi Suzumiya had a period in junior high where she kept changing boyfriends.
For some reason, she would accept any confession. But the longest relationship lasted a week, and the shortest one ended five minutes after the confession.
The reason she broke up with those boys was always, "I don't have time to date ordinary people."
And this girl was absolutely a high school girl who was extremely interested in psychics, aliens, and people from the future.
"Oh, so you know me." Haruhi Suzumiya stroked her chin when she saw Emiya's expression. "Am I so famous that even people from other worlds know me?"
Emiya gave a wry smile and nodded. "In a way, yes, that's true."
"Huh, why?" Haruhi Suzumiya asked.
"What why?"
"I'm asking why someone from another world would know me. I've always thought I was special, but in my parents' eyes and everyone else's, I'm just a strange, self-centered girl. I should be no different from ordinary people. So why would someone from another world know about me?"
"So you are self-aware," Emiya quipped.
"Don't take me for a fool," Haruhi Suzumiya said. "You haven't answered my question yet."
"Well, that's a long story."
"Then make it short," Haruhi Suzumiya ordered.
"Come with me," Emiya said, snapping his fingers and taking Haruhi Suzumiya back to his house.
Haruhi Suzumiya felt a flash before her eyes and arrived in an unfamiliar room. She looked out the window and could clearly see a blue sky and white clouds. If she remembered correctly, it should still be night in her world.
This means...
"Another world?"
"To be precise, it's my world." Emiya turned on the TV, found the The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya series, and pressed play.
Since it was an old anime, Emiya didn't have the manga or books, so he could only show Haruhi Suzumiya the anime.
Haruhi Suzumiya was not shy; she sat on the sofa, crossed her legs, and watched with great interest. And Emiya, as if he were revisiting his childhood, sat with her and watched.
After watching a few episodes, Haruhi Suzumiya seemed to understand something. She turned to Emiya and said, "I see. So, I'm just a character in an anime, right?"
